You can. Push the loader stick down hard. It will go into float mode.

This should do it. The stick will lock in the float position until you pull it back.

Push straight forward on the loader stick past the down position in one swift firm motion. It should lock into place. Pull back to take it out of float and return to Neutral.

Thanks! Now i just need to figure out how to use the front plow without tearing up my road when it snows. I've messed around with it and it's hard to tell how far down you have the blade. I wish there was a way to float the blade on un even ground.

Push the loader arm up as far as you can. There is a float detent. Even my BX one. Works great for pushing snow.

Just in case no one mentioned it yet, put the loader in float mode. :)

LOL thanks!

off topic question do you guys ever use battery tenders? Tractor may sit awhile in the winter. I've been looking at a 3 amp not sure if amps matter.

Yes, I have a battery tender Jr. in the house, it is .75 amp for a pack of gel cells I keep for emergency use of my 2 way radios, and outside I use a simple 1.5 watt harbor freight solar battery tender on the JD lawn tractor. It has made a tremendous difference in the life of the battery in the little tractor.

I just tryed the float and it does work but can anyone tell me why the FEL is so slow to move up and down? If you do the float thing you hear a click and the loader moves down faster. Is there a trick to control the speed of the FEL? I don't have the FEL manuel yet. There must be a way to make it go up and down faster because the other day it seemed like having the tractor transmission in High made the loader faster.

Thanks again!

Nothing you do with the transmission selector will change the speed of the FEL.

I'm 99% sure there is no hydraulic adjustment speed changer that would effect the FEL. Should have a knob between your legs just under the seat that speeds up the drop of the 3pt but don't think it affects anything else.

Nice tractor. I had a B3030 that burned in a fire. I loved mowing with that tractor. It's MMM actually ran on the ground carried by it's 4 wheels. It did a better job and faster mowing than my JD455 with suspended deck.

On my previous B7510 if the 3pt was raised to the maximum height it would slow down or even stop the FEL from lowering (though not all the time). Making sure the 3pt was somewhere mid point seemed to make a great difference. Don't see to have same issue with my current L3400

If it did, that is an issue.. Did you make sure the lift lever returned to center each time?
