Did you order from the manufacturer or from TSC? I think I mightbwantvto do the same thing becsuse itvdurevworked very well.

By the way Sarg, I did 2 relatively light coats rather than 1 heavy coat . . Blades, spindles, and all areas of under deck. AND a future coat is "additive" benefits (olymer on polymrr us an even more slippery surface.

The cheapest price I could track down was on Ebay... and that was with paying tax because the seller was in my state....... The MDI outfit had a special shipping deal advertised on their site..... about $21. for shipping is certainly special.

My primary interest is usage on the snow equipment. Next spring we'll give it a try on all the mowing machines. ( 4 garden tractors - a Ferris ZTR - 6" Woods rotary and a half dozen push mowers )

A while back I looked at "alternate" cutting edges for my rear blade for snow plowing. I think they might be OK if you have a concrete or asphalt area to clear. I think my mile long gravel driveway would either tear the edge to shreds or wear out very quickly. If I have to plow snow prior to the driveway freezing up hard - I raise the rear blade a little and just leave a little snow rather than removing all the top gravel.

Agreed . . if you have gravel . . its a much different story. Also I think its pretty smart to leave a little snow if you're not frozen ground. That may all the gravel rock can "lock in" instead of getting moved and pulled to the side of the roadway. And if you then get freezing ground . . I would think it would make for a smoother driving surface too.

I bought some 1x5" UHDPE for other projects several years ago but I'm guessing
it would make a perfect blade edge for concrete.

I agree, this is really good stuff. I have been salvaging chunks of it from a PE water tank that got smashed here.
It is off-white and 1/2" thick at the base. I use it mostly for feet on outdoor log furniture.
