Good morning. A rare event coming - clear skies on their way for at least 3 hours today. :dance1:

RS, Squeak may need fewer trips to the vet if you had one of these, as an alternative to swinging.

47 headed to 79. It will hit the 80's this weekend. This is December, right? Hard to be in the Christmas spirit when you are sweating. Only a few more gifts to make and taking a break from the shop today. Going with wife to look at a horse for her... my shopping may be done. Then into town to SAMS for our monthly adventure, then looking for a tree. Tomorrow we have a wedding (cart girl) and Sunday a bunch of guys are coming over to cut up trees for fire wood. They have been down for a year now. TGIF

42.2F and mostly cloudy @ 06:00 ... high today predicted to be 59F, then into the 60's on Sat/Sun with possible record high temps ...

Will be looking to get all "Get-ready-for-winter" outside chores tied up over the next few days ...

Was in town yesterday anyways and hadn't heard anything from North Hill Glass and Mirror about the piece of glass I had ordered from them for the cross brace on my old 55g (that was supposed to be in on the 8th ...), so I gave 'em a call ... "Yeah, it's here ..."

So we swung by, since we were only about 5 minutes away, and I picked it up. Reason for them failing to call me and let me know it was in ?

They didn't bother to write down my phone number ... despite me giving it to them several times ...

Stopped by the LFS after that and picked up another Zebra Danio as a dither and a Kuhli Loach ... Squeak is now fascinated once again ...

Got the glass piece siliconed in yesterday afternoon, should be able to silicone the top plastic trim piece on later today. Also did a little maintenance on the reflector for the light fixture ... the white plastic of the reflector had turned orange from the light of the bulb (UV mebbe ?) and I found a tip online about using the silver metal HVAC tape to restore the reflectivity. Worked great. Then I trimmed out the hood for the other 55g, for the plumbing and the heater and installed an old ATI LCD stick-on thermometer on the outside glass of the tank.

Might get back to doing a little work on the backdrop today ... probably after I clean up all the styro shavings in the garage and get The Woman's car moved back inside.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable and productive day.

That's cute ...

You know, it's really surprising (to me) that The Squeak is doing as well as she is - she's had this respiratory infection going on the whole time we've had her, but despite that she's managed to probably double her weight and size and is constantly playful. Although she is sleeping alot more these days.

Amazing what not being starved to death can do for ya.

Just hope she can hang on until whatever treatment the vet provides can be effective.

Enjoy your fair weather

Had a nice evening and dinner out with old friends in Milton DE, near Lewes and the ocean.
Off later this morning to Plymouth Meeting PA, outside of Philadelphia to see my goddaughter. Lunch there and then on to my sister's home in Princeton NJ. And then tonight dinner out with friends.
Surprisingly warm here, had my chamois shirt on and almost had to find a golf shirt by day's end.
But then when the sun goes down the temps drop and I'll be glad to have that warm shirt.

Had a nice drive up, lots of fog, and people would just drive through it at high speeds with no capability of stopping in time if there was a traffic backup or whatever ahead. Just plow into the back of someone....so I slowed down a bit and kept going in and out of what seemed like cloud banks.
By Portsmouth it had cleared up. Took some pics while getting a fresh coffee at the little restaurant several miles out on the 17 mile long bridge. But this little Chromebook doesn't seem to have an SD slot so no way to load pics.

December 11th already. I feel like I'm on life's jet plane when I'd like to be in a slower Piper...

Wow, I took a couple days off and I'll never catch up in this thread. Anyone know if Mossflowerwoods is all married by now? My invite must gotten lost in the mail. :D

Going to well over 70 today so it's back to the chores I never finished this fall. I charge all batteries late in the fall, just before winter and have had exceptional results. My 2004 Kubota B7800 battery is still going strong and that's typical. If others try this, remember to turn the lights on for a minute before you start the charge so you can burn off "surface resistance' or whatever it's called.

57 this morning and headed to 67 today. It's so warm and humid here the gravel sweated over night. Warming up rest of weekend.

Got a call yesterday from Kubota dealer. There is a problem with getting the rear remote valves for the tractor. It's a Kubota issue, if I want tractor, then when the valves come in Kubota will pay transportation back to the shop for install. So papers are signed and tractor should be here today or tomorrow. Get up there to sign papers and he tells me he's learned it's not only a Kubota problem but a New Holland problem also. Seems like there are very few companies that build those valves. And the company had a bad run get out. Salesmen man said NH has like 1200 tractors that need the valves replaced. His dealership has a dozen to do. So I'll get my two rear remotes when they come in off back order.

Birds are migrated so I'll be doing repairs until tractor shows up. Then some seat time.

Drew safe travels.
