Got a vanity plate on your vehicle?

NH had free vanities years ago so everyone had them including my wife and myself (yrbook) but since they starting charging like most states, 3/4 of us have dropped them.

Must have been before my time. I've lived in N.H. since the late 60s, and you always had to pay extra for vanity plates, though ISTR it only being $15/yr more. At some point (late 80s/early 90s as I recall) the price went up.

When I got my '72 Olds cutlass convertible, my dad sent in for 'OLD OLDS' as a surprise for me... still have the tags, sold the car...

All our vehicles are plated in order from *****1 through *****5. Don't mind a bit. Easier to remember.

I've always liked the 71-72 Cutlass and Skylark convertibles... owned a 71 skylark and 72 442 coverts... top was down every chance I got.

Mine was too... I traded a jeep cj7 for the olds, had the top down on both every chance I got.

On the olds, the car looked great but the top was trashed... so it stayed down!

There's a little puddle jumper, shopping basket thingy around here with AMAZIN You think nothing amazing about that until you find out that the little old lady driving is Grace.

The only reason I refuse to get any vanity plate for anything is that I think the state gets enough money from licensing all by itself I am not going to contribute any more than necessary. Won't get veteran plates or state university recognition plates either. States just capitalize on this to get more revenue out of a 25 cent license plate.

Have to admit though, have seem some rather creative vanity plates over the years. Some folks really put a lot of thought into them.

Eat your hearts out guys, trailer plates for all trailers are $25.oo for the lifetime of the trailer and they are swapable to different trailers. Just register them on a different trailer.

One of the few things that are lower costs in Ontario.
