Concealed Carry Regrets?

I started the process, but I stopped, thinking it would put a target on my back if someone try's to confiscate weapons. I figure if the situation really deteriorates to the point of social unrest those laws won't matter, everyone will be armed regardless of carry laws. I also believe carry laws are unconstitutional, the right is to bear arms, that means carry on person, the idea I can own a gun, but not touch it or carry it doesn't make sense, I don't need permission to do that! Texas Dawg, the state approved sign, for stores to post to prohibit open carry, is 30.07. The stores must post both signs to prohibit both forms of carry.

Just in keeping with the spirit of things, with the concealed carry notice sign being 30.06 they should have designated the open carry, .45 or .223 or something that would have made it memorable even if it didn't fit the code sequence.

I guess we are fortunate here in Kansas, no need for a CCW. I believe 5 other states are the same way. This is how it should be.

Somebody recently sent this to me.................

I was going to bed the other night when my wife told me that she could see from the bedroom window that I'd left the light on in the shed. As I looked for myself, I saw that there were people in the shed taking things. I phoned the police, who told me that no one was in this area to help at this time, but they would send someone over as soon as they were available. I said OK, hung up, and waited one minute, then phoned the police back.

"Hello. I just called you a minute ago because there were people in my shed. Well, you don't have to hurry now cause I've shot them all." Within five minutes there were half a dozen police cars in the area, an Armed Response unit, the works. Of course, they caught the burglars red-handed.

One of the officers said: "I thought you said that you'd shot them!"

I replied with "I thought you said there was nobody available!"
