We have 3 in the house, one at my wife's shop. There is no way I could leave cat food out like that. My guys would be in it in a heartbeat. I've caught our male cat upside down in the cat food container, I left the top open, and he climbed right in. And the dogs would go after it also.

Ours eat 3 kinds of dry food, it stays out all the time, they eat when they're hungry and don't bother it otherwise.

Up until recently, they had no need to ... as The Woman had them on the "I'll-keep-your-bowl-full-and-you-just-eat-whenever-you-please" regimen ...

That this might have anything to do with their weight, the amount of cat food we were going thru, or the lack of mousing activity, seems to have escaped her consideration ...

I haven't weighed him, but I'll bet the orange cat (Mister) probably goes close to 20 lbs (or more) ...

Normally the bag that is open is kept closed with a chip clip, but I had just filled their food bowls. The other bag (with some orange coloring) isn't an issue - they all detest it and won't touch it. I'll probably see if the birds will eat it.

At this point, they've been put on a diet - 1/2 cup of food each in the morning, 1/2 cup in the evening.

Our cats, and me, are on the see-food diet!:laughing:

48° early, 58° later, cold on the weekend, then warm through December! Great!

Ugh. It's only Tuesday for me. I'm a graveyard guy too. Going between a white Russian and a cup of coffee now that I'm home. Gotta get the house cleaned up for appraisal next week.

Surprised that they are picking beans down there now. Beans got combined in September and October here in Michigan. Or is that a double crop down there?
