Zombie I 'am a rural mail carrier. The carriers are not redelivering screw ups!! They are delivering packages only on Sunday! that came in Sat afternoon! Since I'm on a rant. It is not the easy job that some people think. The complainers should do the job one time To see what is involved. thanks for your time. little K

Sorry, but one of your highly qualified and motivated carriers gave me all the mail from the box BELOW mine today. This is mostly why our poa started years ago.. Mail repatriation meetings... :(

No one said its was. Lots of jobs are hard. ..but if you are bad at it, either get good at it ir find something you are good at. ( not aimed at you, but those that constantly miss deliver my mail.. ;). )

The movies certainly will eat into your data allotment. How big is your data cap and how close does your normal data consumption come to filling that out?.. Music streaming uses a bit, but nothing like video.

We already seem to get throttled back, on speed after just checking out a few short youtube vids iirc we are just on a basic plan and it limits downloads to 250MB in a 24 hour period- so looks like its not the hot set up for movies
I guess we will stick with $1.38 new movie release rentals at the local store and get the rest from dish.
Still figure that Prime is a bargain just for shipping savings- so no troubles

Yeah, you can probably get away with streaming some tunes, but I reckon you best shy away from getting hooked on the movie streaming.

Just went to Staples for office supplies and Posta

l Workers are always outside picketing...

Inside is a post office counter... just like small towns where you would find them in hardware or drugstores...

I guess the problem is Staples is corporate america.

The signs say the Postal Service is Not for Sale...

Staples signed a sweetheart deal with the post office, meanwhile, they were cutting hours for the regular workers. I just saw something about that at work actually. I'll see if ok can find it again.

I guess there is different levels of service in different parts of the country. We seem to never have any problems with UPS, Fed Ex or even the USPS. And yes the USPS even takes the packages that are too big to fit in our large mailbox all the way down our lane and hand delivers them to our front door. Can't complain about any of them. Yes the USPS now delivers packages here on Sunday too. I have personally seen the UPS drivers walk all the way down our lane on foot and deliver the packages to our door, when the trucks can't make it up from the snow and ice. I guess I am blessed.:confused3:

Ditto everything you said here. We have been fairly big users of Amazon Prime and many other online retailers. Rarely have they missed a due date, and many come early. The UPS trucks have delivered late Sunday nights, and the USPS lady always brings bigger boxes to our door.

My best experience was ordering dog food about 4pm one afternoon from Chewy's, and it being delivered by FedEx at 9:30 the next morning, from Pennsylvania.

I've made several regular orders for work and not a single one has hit the target date in the last two weeks... just the way it is this time of year.

One item from Amazon Seller was to arrive Monday... still not here.

Walmartians...got to love that one

In general UPS is NOT my friend around here though the Fed Ex gal is

All UPS does is complain about EVERYTHING 10 times worse since that strike a while back. GPS mileage tracking is the biggest grief.

The USPS for all us rural residents around is pretty darn good. There is only one issue I normally have and that is with only one of the 3 rural route drivers, two regulars and one sub.

Seems this route takes a certain driver too close to the state line and the only Wallyworld in more than 25 miles so it seems he slams thru the delivery's skipping about half to take a road trip and xtra long lunch to the "world".

In defense of USPS my cousin has almost 25 years of service in urban delivery and they have birddogged the daylights out him in the past decade or so. But before that it was anything goes. My late uncle and his buddy both retired from service there and always spent the last two hours of their respective shifts at the local American legion just across the road from the local Post Office until it was time to clock out.

When I was just a kid he take me out on the route with him to put the mail in the boxes so he didn't have to move away from the wheel...boy did we get done quick lol!

I ordered an HVAC part from Amazon that shipped from Celina, TX on 12/28 on USPS. It went from there to Dallas on 12/29 then to San Jose, CA!! on 1/1 on the way to western NY.
You don't have to be much of a geography expert to figure out that is 1000 miles in the wrong direction!!

No problems with my last two orders. I ordered a case of Power Service and a case of Rotella T6 oil over the weekend and both shipped on Mon. 28th. They both had an expected delivery date of Jan 4th. The PS was delivered by UPS on Wed. 30th and oil delivered by USPS on the 31st, both ahead of expected date.

At our country place, there is not to the door USPS service, at all. If you want US Mail service here, you have to get a PO Box. UPS and FedEx deliver here though.

My wife ordered something from Amazon earlier this week and they shipped it USPS and are assuring her that a carrier will bring us the package. Supposedly, it will be here on Monday. Seeing as there has NEVER been a mail carrier on this road, I'm not counting on it. I'm not sure where the package will end up, probably in USPS purgatory until it gets thrown away or returned.

We had a little trouble with the UPS guy when we first started having stuff shipped here, he decided he didn't want to look for us very hard and said the address didn't exist. We called the distribution center and told them that we do in fact exist and they made him come back that afternoon. Since then, he's been pretty reliable.
