Has anyone used a chicken plucker to peel garlic?

I am going to try the paint shaker. Local Harbor Freight has paint shakers in stock. I'm going to get one after Christmas. I will let you know how it works out.

Paint shaker seems interesting. You can buy new paint cans at Lowes and maybe Home Depot IIRC. Nice thing about it being pneumatic is you can try various air pressures (speeds) to get the job done without beating garlic up too much.

I've been down the same road for the past three years and the Ariete is the best thing I've found yet, but its not sold here...will be interested in the paint shaker results.

Bought the paint shaker yesterday at Harbor Freight. Set it up today and tried it out with not much luck. It seems to work best by cutting the tip and bottom off. Plenty more garlic to experiment with.

One thing I noticed watching videos of that paint shaker is that it appears to hold the can horizontal and move side to side. The garlic doesn't really bounce that much. The 'two bowls' trick for garlic involves a lot of up and down motion to bounce the garlic. Any way to turn the shaker on its side or something to get more of an up and down motion versus side to side?
