So a used V417 Compact Telehandler with 2000hrs costs how much??

I don't know, I bought a used V518 with 2200hrs for 26K.

Sold it a year later with all the attachments that I acquired and nearly came out even, so the cost of ownership was very low.

Last I checked, they had a bed model and the 3pt hitch model. I think with different HP & capacities.
If the power ball had done me right the other day, I'd add one to my toybox along with a a few dozen others

Disclaimer upfront: Not picking on you Xfaxman.

The equipment Xfaxman recommends is extremely expensive. If the shopper can afford it, great!!!! But it rarely applies in threads like this.

One reason that I post about the Compact Telehandler is for the people that can afford it, but don't know that they exist.

Right now there are currently 5353 users online. 418 members and 4935 guests.

I would guess most of the guests have never seen a Compact Telehandler.

I have received several PMs from guys that joined just so they could ask me about my machines. There is a new member in Michigan that went on a long drive today to look at some used machines for sale.

Great pictures! Very impressive. That though is just way above my budget. I just looked at some use online and even the used (tracked skid steer) are beyond what I want to spend. :-/

I would have mentioned my 110tlb with belly pan as a good choice but did not want to start another thread about spending peoples money. Trying to not upset Newbury.:laughing:

I need some advice on the right tractor for my primary use of a grapple. <snip>
Now for my questions:

In speaking with a friend who is a professional farmer and a neighbor who also is a farmer they stated that 50+ HP would be needed for a grapple. Even a high 40s HP would be pushing it. I was trying to stay in the mid perhaps high 40 HP for my budget. Is this the experience folks have had here?

No, it's obvious that the general thought process of many posters is that they just want to talk about what they have regardless of the question asked with the parameters given.

From now on the standard response should be get a Diverto.
