I got sucked in to wasting time on the web (again!) and ran across this:
Meanwhile In Portugal... | iFunny.com

which I thought might garner some comment about the adequacy of this approach of securing a load...

Hey... that woman is not wearing a seat belt. Although she does get the benefit of full flow through ventilation.

What? Are you worried about here getting up and moving around the cabin?

I think she could get up when the "Fasten Seat Belt" light was turned off. Might have a bit of a problem with the "No Smoking"

I almost qualified to be in this thread yesterday -- in between using my 7x16 trailer which takes a 2-5/16" ball, I picked up a rental stump grinder an had to switch to a 2" ball. Later in the day I hitched up the 7x16 and picked up a load of gravel (2.5 tons worth). It was on the way back from the quarry that I realized I had never switched back to the 2-5/16" ball. Pulled right over on the side of the road and fixed it, but I had already made it 90% of the way home at speeds up to 50mph. Guess there was enough tongue weight to help the coupler stay put all that time. Not one of my better moments.

Color code your insert to match the coupler. A couple of cans of spray paint, and no more mixups.

Lost the excavator AND the boat.

Holy smokes that was a bad day. I was trying to keep track of the people but not sure that I did. It's hats to believe a half dozen humans would think their weight is going to ballast an excavator in any way though.
Almost looks like the one guy gets smacked with the bucket right before he swings it back around, and then the operator gets buried by the last bucket full as it goes down.

So the operator was lost also?
