A ventless heater burning propane or natural gas puts all the products of combustion into the room air. carbon monoxide
A properly burning non vented gas appliance will produce very little (if any) carbon monoxide when tested with a CO meter.. If the unvented gas appliance produced any, or very much CO,,everyone with a co meter/ detector in their homes that use unvented gas logs, heaters, etc, would be hearing a constant alarm from the CO detector.
I service many of these appliances for my customers & check them with my CO meter each service.. My customers also have CO detectors in their homes. And thy never get CO alarms
You are more likely to be killed in an auto accident, than killed by a properly installed & serviced non vented gas appliance
