Man I wish I could use a lawn tractor for 32" of snow! nice work.

I'm starting to think that snow must vary by region as it takes heavy equipment to dig out 32" of snow around here.

Most definitely. If we had 32" here country roads would only be cleared with a Dozer using a V-Plow or a very large blower. I run a JD770G road grader. 245HP, 40K lbs, chained on 4 rear tires. It won't continually push 32" of snow here.

He probably kept on top of it throughout the storm. we got 30" in the same storm and there were many, many places where I couldn't push strait with the bucket all the way down. If I did a lot of it came right over my 1 yard bucket. Was a lot of fun though!

Did your tractor come factory with a one yard bucket or did you have it special made for snow?

The factory bucket is tiny. I have a Loflin snow bucket.

I have never understand why tractor manufacturers use such a tiny bucket. I'd way rather have a bucket that I might not be able to lift a heaping load of gravel to full height, but would be far more useful for most jobs.

But factory buckets are usually too small for anything except liquid concrete.

The biggest problem with a bucket that is too big (deep) is that your curl function becomes less useable.

I actually have 3 buckets, one is 16" wide and 40 inches deep (stump bucket), one is 65" wide and 20"
Deep w tooth bar (Factory bucket), and one is 72" wide and 42"'deep (snow bucket). I find uses for all of them, but use the 65" factory bucket the least and the snow bucket the most.

I use the snow bucket for snow, leaves, wood, as a work platform, to move random stuff - basically for anything except stone and dirt. It easily carries 4x the snow compared to the stock bucket and is hard to beat in deep snow.

What's the biggest bucket you've used? I've seen SSQA buckets up to 108" wide, 40+ inches deep and ~40 inches high. It's like a pusher with the option to pick the pile up

Interesting to see this. What did you use for weight?

I use 8 42-lb suitcase weights on an omnihitch. 336 lbs of weights, 100 lb omni, 100 lb hitch.
