Thanks Matt, yes I made the front posts and butchered up a engine hood off on old Cat D-6 for the roof. There's no "cab" but I did put a sheet of plexiglass on the front a few weeks ago to help keep the wind off. Along with my hillbilly side panels made out of lumber wrapping and a few magnets to "stick" the lumber wrap on the fenders.:cool2:

Building some bucket forks for moving the piles of slash that are starting to grow. Now working on the year after next's wood. It's thawing out, so I won't be able to pull a couple of blow downs out until we get another cold snap. The Plant Manager gave me the green light to make another capital investment - so I'm shopping for an inexpensive logging winch.

That's a good way to keep your wood dry BG.

Local adage here is "come February 1st you need to have half your wood and half your hay remaining"



I have 3 rows out of 6 gone from the left bay but a lot of that is still piled next to the stove in the cellar. Last year it was the opposite. At this time I was well into the 4th row.

You guys and your snow. I don't think you could find a flake on my property today.

I like snow but it is a pain cutting wood when it is up to your waste. If you don't stay dry then you won't stay warm. Hail Hanson dry wear clothes really help a lot.
