I think faster than I type. Neither is very fast.
I think you are okay. When you can type faster than you think, then worry. Oh and speed is relative. Keep going.

"SAMMY AIN'T DEAD.
Several months later I ran into him in a bar in Benson. That hoof print in his forehead was still depressed & very visible."

Ouch! I bet he had some kind of a head ache for quite awhile! :confused2:

"SAMMY AIN'T DEAD.
Several months later I ran into him in a bar in Benson. That hoof print in his forehead was still depressed & very visible."

Ouch! I bet he had some kind of a head ache for quite awhile! :confused2:

Pain didn't bother Sammy very much. I always said if you ever got in a fight with him, you would have to break both legs or kill him or he would still keep coming at you.

When I was playing cop, Sammy was staying with Grand dad. when he had $$ he would be in the bar getting drunk. When I checked the bars, he would reach up ( Sammy was at most 5'6" or 5'7" & maybe 1404 or so.) He would reach up & get me around the neck pull my head down & say you big devil lets go out side & See who can whip who. Quite frankly it hurt, his arm was hard as a rock. I'd just tell him later, I was too busy at the moment.

Getting in trouble for doing a good thing. I was about 15 at the time. In St. David was the Golden Bell tailor park, big swimming hole & another fishing hole. The Catholic church was having a pick nick.
Suddenly there was a bunch of screaming, a little girl was missing & had sunk in the swimming hole. Jumping in I dove to the bottom & found a foot & ankle, didn't know if it was the little girl or not. Dug it out & sure enough it was the girl. She was given artificial res0peration & survived.
I didn't say anything to mom & she only found out because someone put the story in the news paper.
Now I was in trouble for not telling her.

OH NO a girl is being raped. Playing Cop at the time.
The richest guy in town lived across the street from the poor Mexicans a few houses known a "Cacho Vill " In the 40's his big house burned down.. He had the basement remodeled into a living space. Just a side note. He had 2 beautiful antic cars, 1 I think was a Stuz Bear Cat. Bright yellow & black. Think the other was some kind of a racing car.

Driving by 1 night in the cop car I heard a girl screaming & it could only mean she was being raped.
Off tho the rescue, will save the damsel in distress. Aw shucks it was a pheasant or peacock making the noise.

The first time I ever saw Sandy the witch, she had taken some cloths off the cloths line. She was taking them in the tailor. I looked at the door & then at her Butt. All I could think was NO Way is that going to fit. Sure enough after 2 or 3 tries she turned sideways & squeezed in 1 Cheek at a time.

More later back hurts & tired of typing.

The good the bad & the ugly. :D May be you have heard that before.

Thursday started off not so good.. Got message that well bill was hung on the fence.

Then things got a little better & slightly drunk out side.

Dave a friend waved me down as I went by his place. 1 Of the few here older than I am, former Marine DI. His kids or grand kids came to see him & left some real good beef hot dogs. He does not like hot dogs & gave me the dozen left over. Let Bobby & Riley out as they had been in the truck a long time. Drank a few 2 / 3 beers as we swapped tall tales.

Then stopped by Larry's, drank a few more beers' as we solved a few of the world problems. Dogs got out to play again.

Went by Doug's & he was outside Having a beer. Mine were getting warm by then, so drank 2 / 3 of his.:licking:

There was an old ( Antique ) iron bed in his yard. Ask what he would take for it. No $$, just gave it to me. Its pretty badly rusted, but you can still make out a sun burst on the head boards.

By now I'm getting a little wobbly.

Take me home, be back to get bed tomorrow. Only a couple hundred yards home, sure glad it was close.

Well bill $4,762.84 - my share = $1,190.91. That will be hard to collect on.

More later.

Hey Jim, interesting to read your tales. I had an uncle and aunt that lived in St David for a while back in the 70s & 80s. They are both buried in Sierra Vista.

Hey Jim, interesting to read your tales. I had an uncle and aunt that lived in St David for a while back in the 70s & 80s. They are both buried in Sierra Vista.

I tried to buy a place in St David, but it sold before I had a chance. At that time it was the only decent place in town for sale. So I wound up here.

During WW2 dad was deputy sheriff in Sierra Vista, ( it was named "Fry" at that time. ) hunted & built a house in Brown Canyon. Pretty busy, you might say.

The fort was all black at that time, only a few white officers there.
Grand dad had to lie about his age as he was considered too old to work on the post.

Our closest neighbor was Sargent Brown, wife & 2 daughters. Lots of things were rationed in the US, but not in Mexico. Mom & Mrs Brown went shopping in Nogalas.

Mrs Brown was carrying me & walking behind mom. Pretty soon mom came & got me & told Mrs Brown you go walk ahead of me, Merchants though mom was rich & had a black maid, so they all raised their prices. Only US $ you could take to Mexico at that was $2 bills. Grand dad was with us & put a bunch of other money in hi boot.

Funny story. There was a shooting up town. This black guy came to him & says that guy (Can't say here what he really said.) Dad ask how he knew he was shot at. His reply " First when da bullet passed me & second when I passed the bullet.)

More later,
Jim

Wind, wind , go away & never come back.
48 hours of wind, up to 60 miles an hour + or -. 30 drops of rain as well.

Now back to freezing & cool days. 50s & low 60s.
OH well worse things happened. It did blow 1 end of wind barrier off. It was tempery any way. Stuck it back up this AM.

Now & then still see the (or a ) hawk. Sure scatters the birds when it shows up.
Not many Quail, wonder where they are.

Found out who owns the black & whit Great Dane. Guess he got his dog run fixed up.
Think I saw the brown one this AM. But it went by so fast can not be sure.

Pretty sure there are at least 3 packs of coyotes around.

Riley & Dog have started to bring home their trophy's. Cotton tail a few days ago & dove wing & feathers this AM.

Riley must have had a strange dream. Howled like coyote, even had the little yips at the end.

I continue to do dumb things. Spilled a cup of coffee on the new keyboard. Killed it dead. Opened a can of diced green chili & set it 1/2 on the table. OH well Riley ate them.

Balance seems tog worse all the time. Don't think I could pass a drunk test.

More later, A little on horse & goat sense.

I'd ask the Hawk... bet he knows. :drumstick:

But then again if there are that many coyotes around and I wore a pretty little crown on my head, I would be in hiding too. :D

Hey Crash, I found this article about a Jaguar living close to Tucson. Have you ever seen/heard of this?

Video captures footage of only known wild jaguar in US | AL.com

Looks like one mean putty tat to me.

It was on the local news yesterday.
Yep they are very mean. Every hunt that dad & Uncle Dale went on cost a few hounds.

Here is a picture from some time in the 50s.
