Buying Advice Cabela's Tractor Help PLEASE

Cabela would cover the warranty. It may or may not be repaired at TYM dealer. I would not worry about cabela not covering the warranty. It would severely damage their reputation if they abandoned customers

REALLY accusing me of taking a "cheap shot" isn't calling me out???

I guess I live in a different part of the world where folks don't do that...

I also guess that "I" had to be there to hear the rep say it, or it doesn't count...got it!

This is part of the "new" TBN reality. As a 20 year New Holland dealership employee I am increasingly being called out to verify stuff I have known and practiced literally for decades. Most recently by a member whose profile lists a Kubota tractor as his only CUT.
My PM settings have changed, and my 'ignore' list is growing.
TBN is a microcosm of the world we live in; no common sense, no respect, no tact.

I post information, the reader can take it or leave it. I care less every day.

I don't believe you were taking a cheap shot at all, just passing on what you had heard. You're a stand up guy from all of the posts that I have seen.

If that report is true, I don't understand why TYM would do that. It would only hurt the brand long term. If I were TYM, I would jump all over extending MANUFACTURER'S warranty to the owners. Cabelas was not the manufacturer.

I guess there is the possibility Cabelas did something regrettable like buying the tractors without TYM's warranty to cut prices. It wouldn't be the first time an American company did something like that. In which case there is a legitimate concern.
I think that is a very common practice with rebranded products. A deal gets negotiated where the end seller is completely responsible for support. I'm sure that TYM would be happy to work on them for their normal shop rates.
Think about the arrangement that Deere had with Yanmar back when Yanmar made complete small tractors for Deere.

Well, to try to get back to the original poster's question, I would say that if he has looked at the tractor, and comparable Kubota and Deere machines, maybe Kioti and ?? as well, and found that the Cabela's seems to have similar build quality, features and capabilities, yet is available for $10,000 or so less, it becomes a simple decision: go for it. Cabela's will take care of any warranty issues- I don't think the company is going anywhere, parts will be available thru TYM down the road, and surely any resale value, should the poster not keep it for 10-15 years, should be adjusted by the savings from purchase. A win-win. Those posters who have scored some implements for great prices add to the argument, IMHO. Dealers come and go, and in any event, we tractor users can live without them by and large. Parts via internet works for everyone except those with strict time demands on their equipment.

Throwing out a negative comment like you did with no explanation of the source is most certainly a cheap shot.

If you can't handle explaining yourself when you make negative comments about a manufacturer then maybe you shouldn't speak in the first place. This is a public forum after all and it's not surprising that someone would want to know the source when you throw out a comment like that with absolutely no explanation whatsoever of the source.

I think playing the victim must be popular is the part of the world where you live.

Agree 100%. Sounds like an opportunity to buy a solid tractor at a discounted price with both short term warranty through Cabelas and long term service and part through a TYM dealer. Thier loss your gain.

Sawyer robs response was poorly worded.
It is the same as saying new holland does not have warranty covered by LS
LS makes the small tractors but new holland covers warranty.
The casual reader takes the statement that the tractor does not have a warranty
