Super Bowl thoughts...
Unless I have a (home team) bias...I generally pull for the team with the head coach I admire most...this year is a little different...
I don't particularly care for either team for different reasons neither of them concerning the coach...
Both peeves go back to either recruiting or drafting of significant players...
john elway (aka Mr. Ed)...pulled some shenanigans with George Steinbrenner in an effort to manipulate who drafted him...never liked the guy after that...
Don't care for the Panthers mainly because they are division rivals but my disliking of cam (Fig) newton goes back to recruiting and how he ended up playing for Auburn...!
Enjoy the game...try not to eat too much...!
BTW...the only previous time the Panthers were in (lost) the SB...It was janet jacksons wardrobe mishap that got the majority of the press in the aftermath....

I don't hate all felines...just non-native domesticated/feral ones...they are nothing but invasive animals that are a scourge on native wildlife...

All local programing on CBS has been taken over by Super Bowl programing... they even preempted Judge Judy!
Seriously... the media has said this it the biggest event ever in SF History... roads closed, deliveries rerouted, entire bus lines canceled...
Pre Super Bowl there was at least one high profile legal maneuver... the local kids soccer league has a magnificent adjoining parcel with soccer fields... totally wiped out for press vehicles... kids and parents quite upset because it impacts most of the season... the stadium has tried repeatedly to buy the parcel and it is not for sale.
So far the law enforcement presence has been huge... simply don't see a private for profit event could ever come close to paying for it all.
Hoping things get back to normal soon.

The military flyover was pretty cool... saw it on TV and then went outside and watched the planes head toward San Francisco and bank right...
76 degrees, blue sky, excellent visibility and a slight breeze... another SF Bay Area winter day...
Did notice the Stars and Bars carried by the color guard on the field... it's a flag not seen around these parts.
