The five year warranty is nice, though I'm sure you would rather not have to be using it. I certainly don't blame those who are having trouble for being upset either, tractors are a major investment.
One of the reasons I am looking at Mahindra is they are the closest dealer to where I live. There is a New Holland dealer about the same distance but I'm not going to overpay for a rebranded LS. If I do end up going with Mahindra maybe I'll be one of the silent happy ones.

I was really interested in LS, but the dealer near me was literally a used car lot in the middle of nowhere NC. They couldn't even do major warranty work at their location - they would pay shop rate at another (non LS) dealership to handle repairs. That made me feel pretty uncomfortable. I've heard some good things about LS, but I would want to make sure that there was a legitimate dealership within reasonable distance.

I'm not here to bash Mahindra, but the only way they will become the next Kubota is to improve quality control and support their customers. You will notice a common theme with owners - complaints about leaks! Coincidence? I think not... coolant, hydraulic, and diesel - Mahindra has them all.

The make a good, rugged tractor for the money but they have a wayyyyys to go before they ever develop the reputation and market share Kubota enjoys. I've been a member of this forum for years and years and during that time I don't remember but 2 Mahindra dealers being on here and they had excellent reviews (Daves Tractor is one). The problem is he's all the way in California. Mahindra better get about 5,000 more dealers like him and then they'll have something.

I know some upstart tractors manufacturers are trying to get started but if LS is as established as a company as they claim to be there's no excuse for allowing your product to be sold through that type of dealership. None. It's hard to take some of these companies serious when tractor shopping because it goes way past if your product is good, you better be able to stand behind it and fix it if I need you to. That's why they haven't ever really peaked my interest (LS, Kioti, Mahindra, etc) because it goes beyond just the tractor. I'll take them serious when they are serious about their dealer network and service.

Im up to 150 hrs on my 4035. read my posts, I've had problems. I'm a bit a doit yourselfer. But 100% of my challenges could of been with any product out there. is the fit and finish perfect. not really. but its pretty solid. tractor is heavy duty,

my coolant leaked, just out of hose clamp areas, to me its from cheaper harder hoses and it was COLD last year. no leaks as of this season, didn't do anything.

I had hydro leaks. I didn't believe it was a gasket failure. find the problem there is one. sometimes the bolt isn't tight. if it leaks agian. one end or the other of the fitting has failed or has a blemish. if not keep looking you missed something. or should i say your dealer did.

puttles on the ground??? and engine will only mow in first gear?? and stalls all the time. Mahindra did have a timing issue with the fuel pump i remember reading about.

If your dealer sucks and you have a problem. your gonna be in trouble. I had a problem, I helped the dealer work threw it didn't just blow in his face and i have more then gained his respect. The fuse box cover broke a tab off. I sent him a picture of the broken item, he shipped me one out. took a little time because he has to do his dance with Mahindra but it is what it is.

After looking around a lot I've found on various forums people who love their 35 series Mahindra. I guess the people who buy tractors who have a bad experience tend to be very vocal about their displeasure. At least I'm not reading about engines blowing up or transmissions failing. Still going to go look at Mahindra and MF this weekend and will probably look at Kioti next week. John Deere is out, the prices around here are nuts. Kubota I'm not sure about but I believe they are a bit cheaper than JD. Anyway the search goes on!

Kimber,
Both of the "significant" issues I encountered involved "working out the bugs" on a new machine. Sure, I wish that Mahindra had solved the issues a little bit quicker. But at the end of the day, they have both been fixed, and the issues that I had should be solved on any 35 series machines moving forward - if that's the direction you choose. Overall, I've been happy with the performance of my machine. I use it primarily for the loader, and for me there was no serious competition in performance from other vendors.

Well I've decided the 35 series is more tractor than I really need. I'm going to hire the cleanup done and then maintain the property with something smaller. Thanks for all the advice.

How are you helping anyone? Are you suggesting that someone should buy a product that is known to have issues?? If you are in fact a dealer, do you tell your customers that they are "butt hurt" when they complain about issues?

I would like to note, yes I am new with this account, but something happened with my old one and didn't work anymore. I have a 2013 Mahindra 4025. I have had absolutely zero issues with my tractor. Sadly it seems to me that most owners love their Mahindra's, that said, unfortunately some have got the lemons and they are not happy about it. Well, if you look, you can find where Chevy, Ford, or any other car mfg occasionally has a lemon come out. Nothing that seems to get done seems to fix it. I too also put a lot of blame on the dealer as they should be going through the tractor, top to bottom, to make sure the customer is taken care of. Again, I think most dealers do this, but not all.
