Have you seen the new CK2610?

Actually,if I read the specs correctly it's the CK35 block that is in the 2610.

I believe kioti used the older CK 27 motor and brought the horse power down to just under 25 horse in the ck2510 so they could avoid tier 4. Now it sounds like they use that same motor in the ck2610 larger frame tractor. what a brilliant idea!!! That will make for a great tractor at a great price as long as you don't need high PTO HP.

Yep, my ol' CK25 is a beast for earth engagement. Never lacking for power there. And PTO power has been good for the two uses I tried: post hole digging & wood chipper/shredder. Though a 5" branch taxes it pretty good in the chipper. I am able to squeak out an extra pony or so over the HSTS because I have the gear model.

Very interesting! as the proud owner of a CK3510, I am curious in this particular variant. Yes my machine has all the tier 4 hooha, but I don't mind, and it runs clean.
And the KL-4010 loader is certainly way more than loaded rears can handle. Even with loaded Ag tires in the back, and a heavy duty scrape blade, the loader will pick the rear of the tractor right up in the air. I added alot of extra weight with a grapple and tooth bar on the stock bucket, and the limits seem to be the front tires. Skinny Ag, R1 tires are great but the fronts are undersized and squishhhh under load.

What jobs specifically would I need high PTO horsepower for?

tiller, bush hog, finish mower, snow blower. So, you just size them to work with the HP you have. On a 2610 that would be no bigger than 5' implements. Maybe 6' on a finish mower.

Thank you. I'm thinking small food plot, 2 bottom plow and maybe a tiller and snow plowing a .25 mile shale/gravel driveway. Good to go?

Not sure if I posted it in this thread or another but the engine in this thing being rated at 24.5 hp is not accurate IMO; especially with 21.8 hp going to the PTO on the HST version. I think real hp is probably closer to the high 20s. Curious to see how Bravo's first weekend with his machine goes.
I've got a hold on one of the last new Yanmar EX3200s out there but this CK2610HST may have just won me over.

Interesting. That's even better. weather the standard horsepower stated is correct or not if the need for more horsepower came up later this might leave better options. Way to go Kioti.

I think you should be good to go with the CK2610HST. I'm curious, why do you think real hp is higher than rated hp? If they detuned peak hp for emissions it probably is what the specifications state. However, just because they detune peak hp doesn't mean torque at lower RPMs needs to be any less than the 35hp model. What this means it will likely have great torque reserve. It will resist lugging down more than other 26hp tractors that may have smaller blocks. This will make it feel like more than other modern 26 hp tractors. More like tractors of old! Which is a good thing.

Yes as Gitty up has said, with mowers, tillers, & blowers if you are trying to push the largest one possible then you need hp. It's nice to have plenty of hp for what ever you want to do though. If you think you might want to do a lot of mowing or something then I would recommend around 5 PTO hp per foot of what ever you want to run as a general guide. But some guys have never even used there PTO so for them this would be a nice setup.

The HP will most surely not exceed 26HP unless Kioti wants to get their butts fined out of business. The EPA emissions tier stuff is strict. It has been common for companies to de-tune or de-rate engines in order to offer models that fall under the 26HP Tier 4 Final limit, and can remain Tier 4 Interim.

In some cases it's possible to drop the max allowed RPM to stay under the HP limit, so the rest of the engine performance is largely unchanged. I remember seeing that with one tractor that was derated from 28HP to 26HP. When there is a larger HP drop, they'd have to be doing a lot more than governing max RPM.
