Kubota BX2200 with LA112 Front Loader

Can't add to what's been covered. I do find the Bro-Tek belly protectors works really well, even with the MMM on our HST fan still got damaged. We have hills, so I added wheel spacers and fluid in the tires. I also put Hodge stabilizers to replace the turnbuckles.

As mentioned, the 2200 does not like to be left out in the rain.

Overall a great little tractor. We also have a 2660, but the 2200 still gets lot of use.

Thanks for the tips guys! I will def look for leaks and check out the airbox. I have no idea what year the tractor is. I assumed something around 2003. How would I tell for sure? Model/Serial number plate?

Tractor mfrs don't go by "model year" like the auto companies do since they typically keep a tractor in production for several years before updating. BX2200 was made from 2001-2003 and they were virtually the same regardless of when it actually got built. They tweaked it a bit in 2004 and gave it a new model number, BX2230, which is what mine is. A couple of years later, another few tweaks and another model number. Etc., etc.

I have a 2003 BX2200. Love the **** out of the thing. I have the power bagger, 48" deck, la211 loader and 50" blower up front. You'll probably add some lights to the ROPS for real lighting if you do anything at all at night. Headlights are for show only. They don't light much, and are not worth upgrading, due to the lens style. You would spend more money and time upgrading, vs. throwing a nice LED on the ROPS. I did upgrade all the yellow and red lights to LED and added another set as well. I travel a bit onroad to the parents house for snowblowing, so I want it looking like I tried to be as legal as possible. (Not legal around here.) Air Cleaner Bracket is a $1 fix, so don't bother spending more than that, it will break again in a few years anyways. You tie-rod boots. best fix I have found and used is simple and cheap. Also lasts longer than original boots. Dismantle the tie rod, clean and grease the joint, and then slide a section of bicycle inner tube over the joint. Then double ziptie each side and you are done. Plenty of people over on the Kubota forum have done the same thing with no problems to speak of. I do have loaded rear tires which make a heck of a difference for stability and traction. I also added a tool box to the rear support between the ROPS, behind the seat. Just something to hold some tools and shear pins. It's a great tractor. You will enjoy it.

I changed one of the fuel filters today (the one above the MMM). No problems at all. I also checked the air filter mount...it seemed fine...the plastic filter housing was a little loose inside the metal mount though.

No one has mentioned changing the coolant. I would at least take a look at its condition.

It should not be loose. Unscew the top bolt and remove the housing. There is a spacer on the bolt to keep it from being tightened too much and crushing the plastic housing. There also will be a band of rubber under the securing strap to keep track of.

Usually, the strap snaps off where it attaches to a beefier part of the mount. It can be welded back on, but will just break again in my experience. Modifying the mount so it will accept large screw-type circular hose clamps works best (use 2 clamps).

Another place it can break is where it is attached to the engine with two bolts/nuts. That can be welded back together.

I installed the second fuel filter today. I had to remove the front brush guard so that i could slide the front fenders forward. No issues.

I replaced my torn boots. I thought I posted a thread on it but maybe not. Can't find it. Wasn't too bad but remember finally removing the rod ends as the wire spring retaining clips were too much of a b!tch for me to try to install in place. If you do remove the linkage, mark where the threads were before you remove, or you might mess up the front wheel alignment.
