Fuel, 101 way's to get it

   / Fuel, 101 way's to get it #51
They do make AC diesel pumps, but for whatever reason they are a lot more expensive than 12V. So I ended up getting a 12V. It's going in my generator shed so I can dispense fuel from my storage tank. I have both a 120V AC outlet (to power battery maintainer) and a 12V battery (to start gen) in the shed, so either would have been OK.

I found one that was 325.00 for 15 gpm. No need for a extra battery.

I think I paid $110 (on sale) for my 12V pump, 11 gpm. The same pump but with AC power was rated 22 gpm but cost $399!!

Northern tool.

Northern Tool has lost their fruit cake. I went on eBay, type in something like this (110v Fuel Oil Transfer Pump) and hot dog, $149.98, cant beat that with a wet napkin.

I'm kind of liking the 12VDC pump idea too. I might see if there's such a thing as an 110V electric pump though, I just want to hit the switch and fill up. If not maybe I'll do what you did, get a marine battery. Or see if someone make's a special plugin/outlet for the 12V pump that I could mounted on the tractor, it would become a pain real quick to lift up the tractor hood every time to clamp on the clamps.
A 30 gal. barrel is now being shipped from ebay/Zorro Tools, $54.00 so far in this 101 way's to get fuel project.

Fill Rite makes 110v and 12v pumps.

As for not lifting the hood to get 12v, I just use the big lug on the starter and a near by bolt head for ground.

Not sure if these are any good or not. Pretty cheap. I just bought a 10 gpm 12vdc pump, hose and nozzle from tsc for $130.
