Looks like Daedong only distributes them for Deere, but doesn't manufacture them. Somewhere else on TBN I remember hearing where the 6R was manufactured, and it's someplace like Europe or China, not S. Korea.

When I traveled to Korea to visit the Daedong headquarters there was a yard full of Green John Deere tractors. It turns out that Daedong is the Korean distributor for John Deere and has a network of dealers. They mainly bring in the higher HP tractors that Daedong does not build themselves (120HP and up). They said there is a demand for the larger tractors and they import and distribute them for John Deere. That is the only arrangement I know of with the 2 companies, but anything is possible.

Saw that mentioned in another thread, but the conclusion was that it was not reliable info -- whoever wrote that wiki obviously was confused. I can start a wiki that says John Deere makes all Kiotis but surely that won't hold water either.

I'd trust the quote from KiotiDave that I posted -- he is a Kioti dealer who visited Daedong and saw/heard everything first hand.

Looks confusing as Dave is talking about 120HP and up and I don't think a 6k series is that."but anything is possible."

Ok, thanks everyone.
On another note, this dealer proceeded to tell me about a visit he made to the Kioti manufacturing plant (overseas), and this plant sells line time to other tractor builders, no to mention names but they are red, orange and green. He explained the difference in the cast alloy used by different brands, and they tell this Kioti plant just what they want. And he went on and on.
Is this guy full of it or do any of you know about this?????

Who would be "red" . . . Mahindra or Tym ? It wouldn't be yanmar or MF.

Who would be "orange" . . . Simplicity ? It sure isn't kubota.

The point is . . Any manufacturer renting production line time from Kioti would either be small product sized units or small volume production unless irs steictly foreign sales models for Deere or someone without their own production lines.

When they are so vague that it refers to colors instead of names . . It becomes asdumptions instead of facts. Even the chinese tractors come in colors lol.
