Just ordered the 84" Severe Extreme Rake; they are a little backed up on shipping them out but will give feedback once I get it home and dirty! If anyone has one I would like to here about their thoughts.

I have the same one. I love it. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the tines bend easily. I was expecting better quality tines from everything attachments. Also I have not abused this rake in any way.

I've used one for a couple of years. Does a great job.
Made an adapter plate so it can be mounted on the front or 3 pt.
I abuse mine both pulling and pushing with it.
The only time I've bent tines was when I was lazy, it was front mounted and used it to pull up a couple of dead small trees, I should have used the bucket.
Tines were easily straightened. If the same ones bend again I'll reverse them. so the weak spot isn't where they bolt on.

Have 10 acres of cleanup (mainly roots and small pine tree remnants). Then was going to try and lightly rake in a mixture of Bahia and millet seed. Think I will have any success with the seed?

Not picking on you, just struck me in an amusing way. You love it with easily bent tines?? :confused3: :D

No harm no foul....

They weren't 'easily' bent. They bent because I abused them doing a job they weren't designed to do, pull up trees.

I didn't realize the trees were so securely in the ground since they were small and long dead. I thought they'd just pop out but they didn't. I chose to force the issue, that resulted in 3 tines partially bent up. Were the tines of a lesser quality I would have probably bent a lot more of them.

So IMO the EA rake is a good buy made with quality materials.

Anyone know if the only difference between the original and V3 the stand and quick hitch computability? That's what the web site seems to indicate and since the wife just takes about an acre of freshly removed stumps the iron is hot if you know what I mean.

No worries. Actually I was talking to darrenjttu who claimed "no abuse". :)

I love the rake compared to other rakes. It is good quality but the tines seem cheaply made. I have many bent tines that teqnically still work but are bent very bad.

Sounds like you may want to also look at the Ratchet Rake at TSC.
