Unless it can out pull the 3.5 Eco Boost I can't see anyone being interested.

I'm in northern MN, and due to environmental concerns, I'm not interested in diesels whatsoever. I'll stick with my ecoboost.

Nissan is getting it right with the Cummins Titan! Chris
It is available in the US Transit as well. Made in South Africa. Not sure how popular it is as the 3.5 Ecoboost has 400 ft lbs of torque vs 347 for the diesel, which costs $3,000 or so more. We have an Ecoboost but most Transits I see have the base gas V6.The 3.2 liter inline 5 they use as a high end engine in the European Transit van, is a good match against the VM/Ram V6 ecodiesel.
The ecoboosts mpg takes a major drop towing, the diesel should remedy this.Unless it can out pull the 3.5 Eco Boost I can't see anyone being interested.

This is true. I own a 2012 EB. Light loads it get 13mpg. 10,000# loads it gets 9mpg. With it being 6 grad cheaper than a comparable Ram Eco Diesel and having 30% more performance I'll stick with the Eco Booster. The ecoboosts mpg takes a major drop towing, the diesel should remedy this.

Now the Titan got it right! 310 HP, would be nice if it was 350ish, 555 FT TQ, and 3.92 gears as the only option means it was built to do work, not haul kids and groceries.

I drove the new Nissan Titan XD a few months ago. Very nice rig. Except for one observation with the one truck I drove. Offline acceleration was slow until you hit around 15 MPH. Which had me stumped. Maybe because it was new and everything was new. With Dodge already having a diesel in their 1/2 ton series, I would think Ford and GM would want to make that move also. B.
Rumor on another site says it's a 3.0 L Range Rover turbo diesel V-6, 254 HP and 443 ft-lbs torque
