Buying Advice Which Kubota is right for me?

Anything bigger than a B would be a waste of money for your needs. Money that could be spent on implements. And make it harder on your lawn. Both the B and BX are great tractors. BX would do everything you stated you need to do and fit your yard well.
I went with a B, if you search my threads you will see pics of the bush roads I built and maintain, so it was a better fit for me while still being excellent to mow the lawn. I have R4 tires and mow my sandy loam lawn with the loader on and it does no damage.
I mow 2 acres, snow blow a 300 foot driveway with a parking spot and turn-around for my dump and tractor-trailer, build roads, move and stockpile gravel and loam, firewood and run a BXM32 chipper/shredder.
And my neighbor that bought a new BX commented that my B2620 runs smother and quieter than his.
I also like that on the B's you can change the fan belt without removing a driveshaft.

Agree for the most part with paystar, would lean toward the B for a little better handling of rough terrain.

What B series models do you suggest? Also what attachments in addition to the mower, FEL, and backhoe are crucial if any for my uses? I had planned on a snowblower attachment but we don't really get a lot of snow compared to other places in the US. I think I could get away with an FEL for that if I kept up with it during the storm. I would probably just rent a post hole digger and splitter when needed. Can these tractors be stores in sheds or are they too heavy for the flooring to handle?

Do you prefer a mid mount mower? If so the B2301/2601 have a drive over deck like my B2620. I love that. The slightly bigger B50 series does not have drive over decks. I think they are a great tractor. If you get the B2601 you'd have lots of power, great on fuel, and they offer optional two rear remotes and quick attach on the loader and third function. Get the big alternator too. Then you can add whatever lights you want with no worry.
I can't really say what implements you should get. Personally I use my fel and 60" box blade the most (besides the snow blower.) I bought a hydraulic angling rear blade and thought it would be really useful, but it just sits and I always put the box blade on to do any dirt work.
But for you, if you don't need a snow blower for your average snowfall, a rear blade might be good for you. And likely cheaper than the front quick attach FEL blade and third function the new B offers.

Shed......depends on how it's built.

Not a pro on the B series but I think only the smallest one takes a MMM? I'd be tempted to go rear finish mower anyway just for ease in getting it off if you're playing in the woods.

For grading you'll want a blade or a box blade for the road…or a scraper if you want to drop that kind of money. Box blade is a lot better for moving dirt but the rear blade is going to be better for snow. You can use the FEL for snow but every time I've done it I end up sick of not being able to turn or see what's going on and start using the box blade.

I'm a big fan of a BH, once you have one you'll never go back. If your dirt is rocky digging a post hole with the BH instead of a PHD is a lot less frustrating with a smaller tractor but it does take significantly longer. A BH is great for planting trees et. al. but not sure you'll plant enough trees in 4 acres to justify it…but like I said you'll never go back to being without if you get one.

If I recall the numbers right my BX-25D is just north of 1,750# with BH, not sure what kind of shed you've got but I wouldn't put that up on plywood flooring for sure…and even small tractor implements poke holes in plywood really easy.

Seems no matter what you post, it is inevitable owners of other brands/models will come along and recommend something else, my recommendation is based on the assumption you have done this, always a good idea and narrowed it to the ones mentioned.

The B vs BX will never be settled and it is rare that there is a clear winner, so most of us must accept that short of one of each, anything we get will be a compromise.

Now I don't know your wife's maiden name, favorite color, elevation, annual rainfall, political party, occupation etc., some really may want more information, so my recommendation will be as to facts presented. I would in all likelihood go with a B2601 or B2650. We have three SCUTs and really like them, but have an L5740 in one barn and M8540 in another as well as several others, if those were not available, we would have a B or other brand equivalent, yes Kioti, MF JD etc. make really good machines.

Paystar and others make good points, so no need to elaborate.

As to back hoe, another debatable subject, we've owned and rented them and for us renting makes more sense, for other owning will.

Good luck.

Mr2143, you wrote "I've always had my heart set on a kubota, so that's what I've been researching the most. Primary use would be mowing the lawn in the summer and plowing our 600 feet, hilly unpaved driveway in the winter."

Many will tell you to get bigger than a bx or bigger than a b aiming you to an l model.

Rather than spend alot of time . . I'll just suggest you do the same things I did. Test drive bx product . . .but at least once before deciding . . Test drive and evaluate either a Massey GC1715 or a GC1720. You'll discover some similarities to the bigger bx product but also some differences . . 5 year warranty, stronger fel lift than the bx, lower rpms required, 25 hp and ability to have a backhoe and 3pt on at same time. Finally if considering lawn cutting as one of your goals . . Research a Massey 2315 mmm . . it is very unique features and abilities that you won't find in other brands yet is priced like any other normal deck.

Listen to all the opinions but find out why numerous kubota dealers in our area are now adding Massey product to their kubota inventory selections Massey GC product and Massey small cut tractors too.

I agree with Paystar and his thoughts on the B series tractors. The Kubota dealer in this area gave me a thought when looking. Find the size you need and get the most HP it has. It is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
What ever make you get the parts and service dept is most important. Warranty is nice but the after care is where it makes it worth owning or not.
As for weights the 2920 is 1554# ,MMM 322#, FEL 459# , Puma Blower 64 " 413#

Another vote for the B series. I was looking at the B2650 when I can across a great deal on a used B3030 with only 265 hours on it. It has turf tires and is very "lawn friendly"! I think you'd outgrow the BX fairly quickly once you start working in the woods.

I have a B2920 with 60mmm, loader, bh65 backhoe, backblade, logging winch, forks, and loader mounted snowplow. I use it all the time and love it. I have about 1.25 acres of lawn to mow with many obstacles and it is a great mowing machine. I use the forks to move pallets of firewood around. In the winter I use my logging winch in the woods dragging out firewood. The B series is a nice versatile machine. If you are mowing lawn, having a midmount mower is a nice feature. The B series has a little more ground clearance than the BX series for rough terain in the woods. The L series that the L series owners push don't have mid mount mower capability and the only way you can mow a lawn is to use a rear mount that wags the tail when making turns.
