On all the Kubotas I have owned, the floor is mounted on rubber bushings to reduce vibrations, and that means it will flex a little when you climb aboard. Same deal with the L and the standard step. Nothing is wrong. I have seem some people here (one was a 300# guy) complain that the floor is flimsy, but I think they are not understanding that it's not attached rigidly and is floating on rubber. The same people would likely complain of foot numbness if the floor was welded in rigid.

I remember asking about getting the oversized tires when looking at the 2650 -- it's just the large tire option from the 3350 -- and was told it's possible but not recommended since it increases the effective final gear ratio and puts less torque down to the ground. I never did the math to see how much of a difference it would make. Since these light tractors are traction limited, I can't see that it would matter too much. But anyway, that is the reason Kubota offers the option on the 3350 but not on the 2650 on their "build my Kubota" website.

BTW -- new tractor looks great!

Thanks. Great reply. The step though, I'll try to get some pics to better illustrate just how far it pulls. You're right about the rubber mounting and how nice it is. The deeres I looked at were really flexy. Maybe they too are that way for vibration damping, but it is not very confidence inspiring to an owner to see things move that far.

That is a sweet looking rig. Go have some fun, you will enjoy that machine.

Deezl, can you tell us more about the oversized tires thing on the 2650? Are the wheels actually a larger diameter, or is it just the R4 option instead of the stock R1 (Aggie tire)?

I dealer told me that the R4 tires are quite a bit wider, so that your implements would have to be wider in order to clear the full width of the tractor. But he didn't say anything about a larger diameter tire option.

They are actually a larger size R4. The standard R4 tires for this tractor are a bit tighter tread. I'll get the actual sizes and post them. I've read the size a couple times, but since they are not a size tire that I deal with on a day to day basis, I dont retain that sort of info as well as I used to. But if you were to go up to a standard R4 2650 and get used to climbing on, then come up to the over sized, you'll skin your shins bad as the floor board is just a tick higher.

If you want to ask a dealer about them, my dealer, Pacific Tractor in Hillsboro Oregon, and ask for Corey in sales. He'll tell you about them as well as the TBA rear remotes that might be installed including the power beyond. The parts info showed a To Be Announced memo on the kit. So the ties, may be just so new that not all dealers have been schooled on the option yet. Pacific tractor is a very high volume dealer.

s219 is exactly correct. I just had mine apart to check. The floor is rubber mounted. That is where the majority of the flex is from.

My back tires are 15x19.5 and the fronts are 25x8.50x14.

Yes, it is rubber mounted, but if you watch how using the step twists the floor board, it is not right. You can still have a rubber mounted floor board, and a solid, well made one. But the step really puts the twist to the whole assembly, right up thru the fender. The fender pull down with the step. That's nott he fault of the rubber mounting, it is that the step is an after thought add on, not an engineered item as part of the floor board. We'll watch and see in the very near future. I'd bet that Kubota will have an updated setup after getting too many complaints. The new setup will still be rubber mounted, but the floor board will be better engineered taking the step into account.

Maybe stiffening up the step should be one of your first projects. Nothing is perfect, and if it was, we'd lament scratching it up with the first use. Feeling philosophical today- ignore me if you want.

My local dealer says he has been educating Kabota to make up some sort of bracket to support it.

Deezl Smoke. I agree with you. I have 200 hrs on mine with no problems so far and there is definitely some flex in the floor board pan along with the rubber mounting. It sure would not have hurt Kubota to go a couple gauges heavier on the floor board pan to eliminate that flex and be a little more stable. I might have to weld something up under there!!
