Tong Yang Moolsan to acquire Kukje Machinery in concert with UAMCO and Keystone PE - Pulse by Maeil Business News Korea
TYM is buying Kukje Machinery from Dongkuk Steel.
I thought they were part of the Fokker conglomerate? :airplane:
Well I'll be eagerly waiting to see what TYM plans to do after this acquisition. I just looked at the TYm lineup, and all had CRD, and 6 lug axles for their 30-50 HP range tractors. All Branson 20 series tractors have with 8 lug rear ends from 35-55 hp along with mechanical injected engines with DPF, which I prefer. The Branson is still my top pick even if they are going to get phased out soon. I certainly hope they don't, however.
They bought it to get an "in house" engine plant...and they bought it MUCH cheaper than building one of their own...TYM didn't spend the money to shut Branson down, in my estimation.
I have owned Branson for shy of two months. I am hopeful that TYM will not only keep the brand alive but invest into it and improve access to parts.
