Hi all.
I still have squirrels. In gutters and boxed beam in baloney. Posted last year and best we came up with was shooting them and poison with Tom Cat mouse poison. Shooting is out. Mouse poison they just kicked aside.
New plan. Consulted with roach, bug and rat company. They do restaurants and food storage places. Told me he now needs special license to rid house of squirrels. He suggested
Critter Ridder. Made by Havahart. Ace hardware sells. It repels skunks, groundhogs, dogs, cats, squirrels, chipmunks & raccoons. After spending $20.00 at Ace, i checked ingredients. I'm almost tempted to return. It has:
Oil of black pepper..... 0.480
Piperine, from Oleoresin of black pepper 0.185
Capsaicin & related Capsaicinoids 0.032
Other 99.303
=100.00 %
I could spread black pepper, cayenne pepper, moth balls and other other stuff that just might be offensive to squirrels. Any ideas? A few years ago I had some snacks in a wall near my pool. I waited for them to come out and never caught them. But would spot them shooting back in when not ready with shovel. I took a sprayer and sprayed a lot of gasoline into to hole. I never saw snakes there again. Of course, I don't know if it worked or they just left.
Cheers......Coffeeman
