OK, here's today's (sorta towing) story on the way home (evening commute). Traffic was slow tonight for some reason. Not horrible, but 10-20 mph under the limit which is not common on my drive in nice conditions like today (sunny, dry). There is a semi car hauler near me. Brand shiny new. Clearly has not seen a car to haul as of yet. He's doing a bit more of the lane dodging than you typically see semis do to gain that extra 10' that will make all the difference on his time

Most semis don't do that as it is just hard to do with a long vehicle like that, but every once in a while...
So he's ahead of me maybe 1/4+ mi as I get to my exit and traffic has opened up more so we were near speed limit (70). At this point there are 5 lanes - 3 thru, 2 exiting. I am in the far right exit lane. He is in the middle of the 3 thru lanes. Suddenly I see a sea of brake lights and see the semi coming to a complete stop in the middle lane barely short of my exit. It doesn't really affect me where I am at but I am looking going WTF as there is nobody and nothing in front of him. People are slamming on their brakes and dodging and weaving to avoid this mess. Then this Einstein cuts across the right hand thru lane to take the exit that I am getting off at.

:duh: I don't know how he did not get hit or kill anyone. This total doofus realized he just missed his exit and dang near killed people to get to it. Holy CRAP! I wail on the horn now as it is clear he doesn't have a clue how to drive and I am afraid he is coming into my lane. We get off and at the light he is next to me. I look over and mouth a few choice words, but no idea if he was even looking at me as the windows on the cab are blacked out. (Really?!?!) Then I read the truck has a NJ owner painted on the side. Why a NJ guy is in the Minneapolis area with an unused car hauler is beyond me. And I mean the whole rig - cab and trailer were brand spanking new. Maybe he was picking it up, but that seems a long way to go for a truck...
Dude, you missed it...Chill. Go to the next one or two exits (in a mile or two) and turn around without killing anyone. I expect more from truck drivers. They have more training, and spend a lot more miles and time driving, so they should know better than the average moron driving around. But every once in a while you find one that needs his license revoked. And maybe kneecapped. Way to go, genius!

:confused2:
