- 2015 John Deere 5115M, 1928 and 1945 hand start John Deere D's,
I have always found a flexible hose to be more convenient for greasing the greatest variety of equipment and situations. I have a couple nipples that are a pain in the butt. One is the u-joint at the back of the motor on my FIL's JD 1025R. It is through a small hole in the frame and then up about 3 inches and the other is the u-joints off the transfer case on my pickup, one is right over top of the transmission cooler lines and they get in the way. I had a couple leftover fixed couplers from other grease guns and added in a couple nipples. Looking forward to using my "extensions" to hit these problem ones this spring with way less aggravation.
