Lowes has one for $39. You will use it for other things so having your own is a plus.

Deano
i'll have to look into that!

I had a similar issue with my B8200 where it would run fine for 20-30 minutes then begin to run rough and stall. The reason for my issue was that a small crack in one of the rubber lines that lead from the fuel tank down to the injectors. Once the fuel in the lines had been used it began to suck air through that crack leading the engine to run rough and stall. Replacing that rubber line solved my issue.

I just replaced the lines on my bx2200...both were original, and both were leaky. The lines were greasy and could be seen underneath with the mmm off. Tractor ran fine for me, but I would consider replacing them.

You may be on to something -- a chronic leak for air entry somewhere in the fuel lines prior to the injection pump. By the way, nit picking you a little bit, no rubber lines lead to the injectors. Only high pressure metal lines lead from the injection pump to your injectors. But you raise an interesting point: an aged rubber line feeding the injection pump sucking air after the engine gets warm could do it. Another unlikely but possible problem is a leak or "slightly" blown head gasket or warped head. Since the diesel depends on compression for firing, such a leak could cause the problem. If all else fails I'd certainly do a compression test which is quick and cheap. Next post I'll describe a real nuisance example of the same symptoms on a BX2200 and what was done.

I bought a used BX2200 (from a dealer, had around 700 hrs on it) with a history of bad care. Dealer had to clean out the fuel system, replace filters, etc. to even get it started. It ran OK in my pre-buy testing. After 10 or 15 hours it began to lose power, bog down when mowing, and stumble after getting warm. It got so bad it would totally die. Since I had taken the ingenious step of hauling it 1100 miles and gifting it to my daughter ... go ahead laugh ... the 2nd. dealer, there, took it in and declared it to be a fuel lines and tank problem. Cleaned out everything all over again. Tested it, Ran fine. Back to my daughter. Very next mowing the disease was back after an hour or so. Got worse. At least 8 or 10 mental wild goose chases (loose things in the tank, bad fuel, on and on) produced nothing. That great dealer said in effect "by gawd I stand behind my work and it will be fixed." Proceeded to remove ALL the fuel path including the tank, the filters, the lines, etc. Steam cleaned the tank, flushed things I never heard of. Removed all sorts of fender sheet metal to do that. Returned it to my daughter, charged nothing for all that, and now it seems to be running fine. Nothing beats a good dealer.

By the way I have BX2200 here at home which never had such an issue (yet.)
