Kioti CK2510 HST
Most of my occasions when I move my CK2510 from point A to point B are done at a slow speed. Occasionally I might get on the open road and run over to a neighibors for a simple task. For this instance I run in high Hydro scooting down the road at a fairly good clip. My CK2510 replaced a ck20 that always went straight down the roadead steady as could be. This is a bit hiard to explain but that is not the case with the 2510. When traveling down the road at a higher speed the tractor seems to want to constantly over steer for lack of a better word. One needs to constantly be on guard keeping the tractor to a line as opposed to seemingly veering back and forthi. I have carefully aligned the wheels according to the manual. No, I have never hit a thing and I purchased the tractor brand new. I don't seem to have a lot of need to get out and travel lickety split down the road but still can't figure a problem here.

Anyone else have or hear of such a problem or have any comments to offer. I know of no other adjustments to this dilemma.

Did you mention this problem to your dealer. I mean this machine is fairly new and should be under warranty. Is there any play in your steering wheel when on the road? My CK30 HST drives great on the road no pulling to one side etc. This is something that needs attention before you lose the machine on the road or run into someone. Good luck and I hope you get this resolved cause the CK2510 is a great little machine.

The problem for me is I am 247 miles from my dealer so I have put this off. If any one can diagnose and fix this problem it will be my dealer good old Michigan Iron but due to the miles so far I have endeavored to find the cause reasoning perhaps I can figure this one out myself and spare myself 500 miles of towing a tractor down the pike and back. I know if I can't whip this problem on my own Michigan Iron is there. Having said this we did briefly talk about the problem and at that time the suggestion was to adjust the wheels according to the book . I have always done all my maintenance and some repairs on my tractors I will admit that the warranty clock is ticking but I still have two years. I'm giving it one last try in my search for a possible solution before I hit the road and head for the dealer.

That is far away from the dealer but still that is why we have warrantees. Usually warrantees cover the labor, parts and pick up of the tractor. I remember when I first got my CK about a year later the paint was flaking off just on the edge between the seat and the floor and a couple of other places. The dealer came and took the machine away painted it and brought it back no charge and I am 1 hour away from my dealer. Before you try anything by yourself don't till the warranty is off or they will use that to get out of covering. Just sayin.

Are they the same type tires as on your other tractor? I ask only because I'm such a newby I didn't realize when I bought my tractor that the tires on my tractor state not to drive over 5 MPH! (stamped in sidewall)
Just curious, are your tires loaded?

I assume you know to never use 4WD for road travel. Can you verify that the front wheel drive is actually disengaged when it's supposed to be?

(ritcheyvs)

This is another fine suggestion and one I did not previously think of. I have had 4wd in my last five pickups and current automobile in addition to my current and previous tractor. I know the feel of a vehicle when 4wd is enabled on hard pack roads. For the life of me, I firmly don't believe 4 wd was actively engaged nor was it the culprit with the squirrelyi front wheel phonomenom I experienced with my 2510. Thanks again for the observation.

Thanks for another excellent thought davrow. The tires are indeed thie same as I had on thie ck20 (perhaps different sizing). The rears on the ck20 were filled and ran thie road perfectly. The tires on the ck2510 are not filled.

Its the hydrostatic steering. No direct link between the steering wheel and the steered wheels. ... I have a similar problem with my 7520 Mahindra. It seems, in essence, that there is a good fluid link as I steer - but very little link when you arent actively steering. So when you arent turning the steering wheel some the steered wheels wander. Not so hard to deal with but it keeps you busy..

... I figure there is an adjustment in the power steering contol valve that will improve it but I cant find any info on it. Probably internal.

This sounds just about what I would have guessed as the culprit to be. The description you use (a fluid link) is just about the best way to describe the behavior of this problem. If it really exists, I hope its a simple adjustment. Thanks.
