Here's my tractor being used to bring a bucket load of composted out TP (turkey poop) to my "front" garden,

NEXT, will be to cover all the gardens, with a thick layer of fresh cut hay, and that means there will be little to NO WEEDING in my future!! lol

I like that dump trailer 94Bullit. I'm looking for one, but need one that's narrower. Looking for about 4'x8' 1.5 - 2.0 ton capacity. Will be used primarily in the woods, but it would be nice if it were street legal, so I could make short runs over the road (Usually less than 10 miles, on secondary roads). Walking arm suspension would be nice, but I'm not sure if I've ever seen one that is street legal. I'd just go with a single axle, if I had to. Elecro-hydraulic dump would be nice to have, so I could still operate the dump when I didn;t have my tractor (with its hydraulics) handy.

CAM used to make one called the "Woodsman" that was pretty close to my needs for my needs: 4' x 8', narrow enough to go through the woods easily, rated for 3500#. I don't know if they were street legal, though. At any rate, they are no longer made.

Any suggestions?

This one's not street legal but might be an option. Also Townline Equipment carries a line.

I think you have done that before :D

Dumped the wood very uniformly as you moved forward. Very nice.

Thanks, I've dumped a load or two from it. When the wood is stacked on the trailer it just about stays stacked when I dump it.

Thanks about the trailer.

This trailer is very close to what you are looking for. It is a 4.5'x8' with a 3k gross. It is a pretty neat trailer. They are about $2,000.

Sure Trac |

My other suggestion would be to step up to a 5'x8' 5k gross, but they will a good bit wider than the trailer above because they are a deck over style and they tires will stick out past the trailer.

That Sure Trac Utility Dump trailer is a possibility. My first concern is ground clearance. The axle doesn't appear to be very high off the ground, and not much room to put on lager tires. I'm also wondering if it the front or back will bottom out when the wheels go down in a water bar on my trails. My second concern is the lack of brakes (probably why it's rated for 2990 GVWR - anything over 3000# in VT needs brakes). I suppose I could live with that if I had to. The non-dump trailer I have now doesn't have them, but I was hoping to upgrade with this one.

Still, it may be a good place to start if I don't find something with more of my wish list items.

Been turning some of my logs from the power line project to lumber with my new sawmill. Since the quality of my milling is still pallet grade I decided to make some storage pallets for equipment. Hope to get better and start making some real lumber.

Looks like a great start to me. Keep on going like that and you will become a master. What type mill do you have ?

Its a Woodland Mills HM130. I'm on my fifth log or so with a few hundred stacked up and ready to mill. Should take me all summer at my current rate.

Today a friend brought me some logs I traded out of him, including this very nice walnut,

It will be interesting to see what kind of lumber comes out of it!!
