No, but my neighbors are atleast 200 ft away. (the .22). The .25 ACP is pretty dam loud, probably equal to a 9mm carbine (that range where I wear ear pro, but many dont).

Wouldn't subsonic .22LR be the same as .22 Shorts?

Maybe they would sound the same but they are not the same round.

Yeah, I realize that, but what I ment was the end result is the same, so rather than $0.25/rnd for Subsonic LR, you might be able to find some Shorts for cheaper. Not really sure how commonly available they are

There are several you tube videos shooting the various types of ammo. The CCI quiet's seem to work well and are accurate. Still pretty quiet, not as quiet as colibri, but much more accurate.

I can usually find shorts pretty easily. They last a long time for me.

I've never used the subsonic LR's. Just curious as to the noise they make.

Those CCI quiet Long Rifles seem to me on the you tube videos to be a bit quieter than regular .22 shorts.

just remember.. shorts won't feed or function in many autoloaders. bolts or single shots are usually fine. after shooting shorts, you will need to celan your chamber before shooting longs/lr.

Good point. I didn't think about cleaning the chamber.

Wife just got me a couple of boxes of Norma subsonic to use for late-night raccoon duty at the birdfeeder and garden. Part of what makes them sub-sonic is that they have a relatively heavy bullet - 40gr (lead, hollow point). They cycle my Ruger 10/22 just fine. They are not quite as quiet as I hoped - still a BIT of bang, but no crack. Louder than the .22 high-powered air rifle, but not a lot.
