I would sooner hear why one brand is better than the other than the faults of the other brand. Anyone can find fault but a few can find the virtues.

Of course, I also go to the other dealer and ask them the same question: "Why should I buy your X brand instead of the other guys Y brand?" Then I like to tell them what the other guy bashed their product, to get his/her defense and reaction. Sometimes they get all huffy about it, but that doesn't bother me. What I am after is the information, not the pleasantries.

It's a blond, brunette, redhead debate about the treadle and having the brake pedals on the same side as that device. The Orange folks will passionately defend their decision to their last breath about it until such time that all the Orange tractors come with two pedals with the brakes on the opposite side. Even knowing deep down inside that they are wrong... [ :) ]

Thats awesome but - I suspect your going to get hammered for that LOL :drink:

My orange tractor came with 2 HST pedals on the right side and two brake pedals on the left side.:) I like it a lot.

You can operate the treadle without moving your foot off of it to go to rev ? I was instructed by the dealer like this - When you go from fwd to rev, take your foot off the fwd part of the pedal,
put the ball of your foot on the deck by the middle of the of the pedal, rock your foot backwards and use your heel to depress the rev part of the pedal. When loading and moving material, thats a lot of extra work for the leg and foot for a guy with physical problems on that side of the body. If i had to guess, the length
of the pedal from fwd to rev pads on the pedal is about 14 to 16 inches. I have size 10 feet . There is no way i would be able to operate that pedal without removing my foot
and repositioning so i could push down and back with my heel for reverse. If theres a way to operate that pedal differently, he lost the sale yesterday because of it.

The only snag we have on the deere deal is the availability of a 53 or 61 inch bucket. It has a 49" bucket on it and the rear tires on the 2025r are wider than that. I want the 53 or 61
bucket or i won't buy it. Hopefully i will get a call from him today telling me he can get the 53 or 61. He does not stock either. I don't want to be buying a bucket down the road.
I think the 53 is probably the best choice as the rear width of the 2025r is 51. What i know is i don't want the 49" that he stocks for the H130 loader.

Well, on my 2009 Kubota BX25, the treadle pedal is different than on, say, the B2650, in that the middle part of the treadle is beneath the floorboards, and I do take my foot off the front and push down on the rear with the heel of my foot, which seems effortless to me. On the B2650 that I tried out, however, the whole treadle was above the deck, and so my foot was uncomfortably high off the deck if I put my whole foot on top of the treadle. I think I could get used to it, however, by using the trick of only putting the ball of my foot on the front of the treadle to go forward (resting my heel on the deck), and then putting my heel on the rear of the treadle to go backwards (resting my ball on the deck). I tried that on the one I was playing with, and it might work after getting used to it. It's just that the pedal is higher off the B2650 deck than the BX25 deck, and very noticeably so.

On our B7500 or BX2660 (both of which have treadle pedals, but just a pedal in front and back, not a long one that your whole foot fits on), I hook my toe under the forward pedal and pull up on it to go into reverse. Much faster and easier on the legs than moving my foot to use the reverse pedal.

And the entire treadle pedal on the 2601 is above the deck and wayyyyyy to uncomfortable for me to use. thats why i said its very non-ergonomical

Im blaming the useless ergonomics of the treadle on my physical issues and limitations. Using the front of my foot to pull up on the front of the pedal
would require even more muscle manipulation than using your heel in a downward fashion. Either way, that treadle just won't work for me.

just another observation about driving the kUB 2601, i had to bump the treadle pedal to get it to go from L /M/H range every time. I asked the dealer if that was normal
and he said yes. Seems odd but we all know how tractor ignorant i am. I did not have that problem when i drove the JD. Is that normal on the KUB
or not ? Anyone know ? And that was all from idle and up in RPM and all from a dead stop.

Another observation is that the lift and curl function comes to a ceasing halt if you are holding the joystick in the lift curl position and the bucket curls to its max.
I was holding the joystick in the lift/curl position and the bucket got about 3 feet off the ground and came to a stop. Not being a tractor operator yet, i kept
holding the joystick in the same position and asked why the bucket wouldn't move anymore. was i doing something wrong or was there a lock somewhere i asked.
he said nope, it just does that. if the bucket is curled to the max and you are holding the joystick in the lift/curl position, the bucket will not raise. Interesting.
It made the lift/curl thing not such a big buying point anymore.

just some observations from a tractor dummy with no experience.

Yes, the Deere will have it as well from time to time.
It's because the range gears are straight cut, so they need to be perfectly lined up to shift.

I'm thinking you will not be happy with the Kubota and will be second guessing yourself if you go Orange.
