After 5,500 or so hours the clutch on the L2550DT finally bit the dust. About three hundred dollars to replace both discs, throwout bearing and engine main seal due to a small leak. Never had this little guy in half before. Hopefully just discs and not pressure plate.

While in there, Replace the pilot bearing in the engine flywheel... If it did not slip a lot and overheat the pressure plate will likely still be good...

I forgot to list the pilot bearing as well.. I just noticed it slipping so hopefully I caught it in time. I thought I felt something not right after adjusting the clutch freeplay so I put it on the hill on the driveway and let the clutch out in 3rd high and the engine revved and tractor only moved slowly forward. Enough tests, in the shop it comes.
