Looks great! National hardware (aka Stanley) makes all of that sliding barn door stuff. Tractor Supply carries some, as does Amazon, though you'll need to get the track from a bricks and mortar store for sure since it's long and heavy. They have square track and round track. I have used both and they both seem OK to me. Here's National's web page for barn door hardware: Track, Hanger and Sliding Barn Door Systems - Customize in 3 Steps | National Hardware That's the real deal for exterior doors. Funny about what you wrote -- I remember years ago googling for barn door hardware and kept finding decorative stuff for interior use. Seems that has taken over google for those search terms. I guess all the hip people want barn doors in their homes....

Thanks a lot for the link. And yes, that's all I could find also when searching on the web.

Woody65...i build pole buildings for a living...putting those 2' on center is a very strong building. Looks like this building is built strong with 2x12 top beam truss carrier. U shouldn't get any racking with your building. A lot of national builders like to use 8' to 12' truss spacing. I guess it works...I usually go with 4' on center truss spacing.

Thanks for the compliments. Especially coming from a builder of these type structures. The trusses were speced for 4' o/c but it was a small bump in the overall cost for me to put them at 2' o/c. And since I am doing all the work ( no labor costs), it made sense. We can get large snowfalls. This is only my third pole barn build, 2 for family and this one for myself. I took the best techniques, of what I thought, and incorporated them into my barn. I think it should hold up for quite sometime. I have been building for 30+ years but conventional residential construction. Different techniques but same principals.

Well, I have been busy with a couple of projects regarding the barn. First, finishing the barn doors and getting them hung. A rough grading around the barn and lastly the electrical service from the road to the home site with a leg to the barn. Enjoy the pics

Installing the barn door hardware, doors and my custom handles made of 1/2" black pipe

Installation of 1200' of underground primary service and a blank conduit for future cable etc. Installation of transformer pad, meter pedestal and 100 amp service in the barn. I dug the trench for the electrician with my Bobcat 331 and back filled it with the JD 4300. We are just waiting for NYSEG to install a new pole so he can finish the install and then NYSEG will do the pole hookup and transformer install.

Thanks for the compliments. I got the idea for the handles from seeing it somewhere else so I can't claim it as mine.... But they sure are sturdy and feel good in your hand when you grab them.

I can’t believe it’s been 4yrs since this thread but have some additions to the barn to post. I used my sawmill to mill up some 6x9x12’ beams and 3x6x10’ rafters and built a lean to around 3 sides of the barn. About 150’x8’ of additional storage. The old saying build it as big as you can is very true I can attest. Some pics of the framing stage.

I don’t have any pics of the roofing but you guys can figure it out. Got the excavation and forms done last fall for the concrete. I tried hiring the pour out but they kept cancelling and then winter hit. I asked once this spring about it getting done and got a lukewarm response. So, I found my 35yr old body and sucked it up and did it myself. Grabbed my brother, neighbor and a local young guy. 20 yds broom finished. Happy with the result. It’s just for storing equipment.
