Anyone else use diesel in the sprayer? Sounds interesting.

Gas is cheaper then diesel or charcoal lighter fluid.

And doesn't do anywhere near as good a job starting a brush pile as does diesel.

Gas just flashes off and is gone, diesel burns for a considerable period.

I haven't tried it but I may next winter. I'm going to have many piles to burn, all cut green this summer. Sprayer I can set the nozzle for a solid stream and pinpoint just where I want it. Sounds good, anyhow.

I have used a garden sprayer for years. I mix used motor oil and diesel, about 50/50. Completely safe and really burns hot.

I have used diesel in a weed sprayer. It works great, but I'm sure it's not a recommend idea and the safety police will probably have a fit.

We currently have a burn ban in effect for Washington County, Texas but look forward to next opportunity to try diesel as an accelerant!

I'm not sure why people are having problems starting fires. Starting fires is easy.

Here's an idea: get out the welder near the brush pile and try to weld something up. Guaranteed you'll start a fire.
