I went into wally world today to get my bear points and look on the ammo shelves and there was 22!!! Not 500 325 for 27.46 so I bought one

Wow! I never see bulk .22 of any type at our Wal Mart. I've pretty much given up on them as a source.

The last Cabela's I went to (Bristol VA) has a Bass Pro shop the very next exit (Tennessee side). Must be nice! End quote...

Was it the Federal AutoMatch? $17.46 is about the best I've seen then in a while! I got some at Great Smokey Guns & Ammo in Pigeon Forge for $19 few months back.

I heard a rumor that Bass Pro was looking to buy Cabela's.

Yea, end of last year, start of this year there were lots of financial rumours that Bass Pro was going to do hostile takeover. Cabela's was apparently looking for a buyer. I think that's why the new stores are the smaller format ... last ditch effort for some growth.
