Adding onto a trailer lenth

I understand and hope you get your asking price. Reality us unless it's nearly brand new that's a tough task.

No way most people will buy used when new can be had for a few dollars more.

Look at a two year old vehicle. It's worth about 60% of new. Same goes with a camper, boat, ect, ect.

I can get the tractor on the back near the tail don't know how much tounge weight is there that why I need a bigger trailer to even things out.

So, what's the $$$$ price of a new one that fits your needs?
How much $$$$ will the "old" trailer (which looks to be in excellent cond) sell for?
There may be taxes, delivery charges, these are numbers too.

What is that $$$ difference?

And costs without numbers include; "craigslist effort", no-shows, no-sells too. It does take time and can be significant. Unless you weren't doin' nothin anyway. Prob NOT the case.

That is the impetus for modification. Plus your tolerance and ability to carry out a quality mod. Also painting. If your 16ft trailer has 5200lb axles thats good, and I like that forged hitch. But what are the numbers?

If I get a new trailer say 14k that's 3750 and that for a 20' now if I drive 2 hours west to where I bought this their price is a few dollars more. I am not in a rush to get this going now I wanna get the trailer sold first on CL and that might take time.

See that you are WI I would sell your current trailer and take a 2 day trip to MO and buy a new one likely for much less.

I have sold several things on CL. I have found that including a statement such as "cash only- no checks, no trades, no payment plans- the first person to hand me the cash is the person who gets it. This ad will be removed within 5 minutes of the item being sold- so if you are reading this- the item is still available " in the ad will help avoid lots of (but not all) scams. Good luck!

Trade it in on a bigger one, save the tax, and get one that has an extra foot already on it, just in case.
