I've searched but cannot find threads here using my mobile phone so...

I need a new booster/jump starter as my old one finally quit. I see Lithium ion ones are all the rage right now. I'll use it for everything from lawn/garden tractor thru my B2320 to my V8 Tundra. Not sure how the Li ones will hold up/work in the cold, some have flimsy cables, that kinda thing. I'll store it in a toolbox under my truck's rear seat.

Does anybody have any real world experience with a booster they can recommend? Thanks!

EarthX,a little more than the others but great power/quality.Jumped my buddies Tundra(twice) with no problem.Pretty amazing for something you can put in your back pocket.

I use a lot of Lithium Polymer batteries. They do NOT like cold weather. Where I live in Minnesota, they would be worthless, IMO, for winter jump starts, especially if they had been sitting in the vehicle's trunk for several hours. Coming directly out of a warm environment and put to use would probably work. I've not used Lithium Ion batteries in cold weather.

If you had a good booster pack, I have taken them apart and just replaced the batteries. Hard to beat the older dependable lead acid AGM cells.

Lithium batteries completely stop working at around -6*F....just a thought.

I had similar needs and looked around at all the popular brands. Already had a Lithium pack. Had to start a boat with two dead batteries (bilge pump comes first!).

After returning another brand purchased a Clore JNC660. Clore makes their own AGM batteries for this purpose and even though you are supposed to recharge every three months, it barely needs it. You can easily start 4-5-6 vehicles in a row. Has a 12v plug but not bells and whistles. Big, heavy, powerful, reliable.

I had a high opinion of EarthX when I bought my motorcycle battery. It didn't last. Now I have a BatteryTender.

Our jump pack is three years old, AntiGravity MicroStart. The first and arguably still the best. You can keep it warm in a pocket.
