Battery Booster Pack?

I have Clores CLOES5000 and it has worked good for a few years and my sons has been good for nearly 10 years. My charger for it blew the non replaceable fuse because of a power spike & I email them. They got back to me right away and said if the booster pak was plugged in at the time this wouldn't have happened. so remove the charger from the wall if not in use. They also recommended you keep it plugged in the the booster all the time but we never have and it holds a good enough charge to boost for mons.

Truck Pac.

The mechanics at work have been using one for years. You get what you pay for. Truck Pac does have 12V only units that are a little cheaper.

https://www.amazon.com - Truck PAC ES1224 3000/1500 Peak Amp 12/24V Jump Starter

12/24 volt operation
12 Volt - 3000 peak amps/750 cranking amps, 24V - 1500 peak amps/375 cranking amperes
60" #2 gauge cables
Industrial grade, Hot Jaw clamps

Have that same pack that I rebuilt, but it has an inverter bolted to the back also, so it is only good for 12v jumping.

Well, nobody & I mean nobody around here sells Clore stuff and after walking in/out of five places I finally got a Stanley jump pack on sale & added another year warranty for three bucks. Not quite what I wanted but needed it faster than I could get anything shipped so I'll try it out & if not right will order a Clore next and move on. Thanks for the input.

Good luck with the Stanley and the extended warranty may be a good investment. In your original post you asked if anyone knew of a jump pac they could recommend. That is why I posted the Truck Pac. I had the same experience shopping for a good pac a year and a half ago. There were no Clore jump pacs available at any auto parts stores around here so my wife bought a Smart Start jump pac at O'reilly on sale for $89. The parts guy told her it was their best seller and no one ever brings them back. Well, It wasn't worth arguing about and the Smart Pac did start the riding mower most of a summer until I replaced the battery. It started my emergency generator and charge our cellphones, but when I tried to jump the 4.3L V6 in our dump runner pickup all it would do was turn on the lights. I plugged it in after every use or 3 months like the directions said. Then 3 days before the 1 year warranty expired I plugged it in and the charge light did not come on. Took it back to O'reilly, and to their credit, they replaced it with a new one which is a newer model with 3 charging lights. Will this pac last years or will it just make it till the warranty runs out I don't know yet.

i have a jump n carry. i used at work, body work, jumping cars with crushed batteries, starting up to 8 dead cars when 10 degrees out, dealership cars, driven cars over 8 miles when the alternator quit charging and car died when applying brakes. jumped car, drove home on jump box and still started car when i got home and shut off.

i have replaced battery with agm battery same size and amp hour off ebay and still performs well. i bought mine in late 80s. best going. expensive but the best

Agreed. I wanted a Clore but am hauling my tractor etc 800 miles to my hunting camp in three days and needed something quick. For $53 with a 2-year warranty this was my best shot right now. I'll give it a go and keep my eye on these better units.

Looks like the biggest Stanley makes is "500 Instant Starting Amps/ 1000 PEAK Battery Amps." The Clore JNC660 is 1700 peak.

If someone is looking for a "right now" jump starter, most WalMarts stock a Schumaker 1200 peak unit for about $100. That would have been my choice if I had to get one locally.
