Have you heard those things?

Friend of mine got married in a very nice setting in a county park, where a bunch of pea fowl hung out. They made the ceremony..... interesting.

Agreed. Your animal is your responsibility. Period. Either find it a home or put it down humanely. (Carbon monoxide is painless.)


On the other hand, we got a really sweet retriever that way when we were newly married. Dumped off in front of our rented farm house, maybe all of 8 weeks old. The landlord had said no pets, but my wife turned her pretty blue eyes on him and that pup was with us for about 12 years. She was a great dog. My now-grown kids still talk about her.

Like someone being tortured. Before first light at 4am and all day thereafter. And as I noted, when I wouldn't come out to entertain him.

The funniest time was a dark night when the coyotes took down something and were howling in a chorus, from the sound it must have been at least eight of them ... and the peacock sang right along with them from high in the redwood tree.

I never said that. I said a neighbors pet deserves a chance. I think a problem dog killing livestock is a different situation, and shooting it would be my last choice.

Well, when you start talking about shooting someone's dog, I can see how that would happen.

We do need to get back to the goofy stuff city folk do when they're in the country...think we've wore out the dog aspect.
