Are eMax owners happy with their tractors?

I am certainly happy with my emax 25. I bought smaller imps to make it easier on both me and my tractor. I have read this entire thread. I did my homework before I purchased. I have a small place and I wanted a small enough tractor to get under my trees and turn around in my yard if I decided to bring it inside the fence. I coudlnt beat the price. I can also say that the dealer can make all the difference in a sale and an education about what you are buying. I bought mine from Daves Tractor. My wife tried to get it from another dealer but they hardly gave her the time of day because she was a woman. She had 18k in her purse and the wrong dealer decided his friend picking up a repaired imp was more important than who woman who said she had cash in hand to buy a tractor today. Daves place was farther away but way nicer and more considerate to our needs. They made all the difference. So far I put tonka stickers on it. They look like they belong and I treat it like my favorite toy. That lil guy is a hardworking piece of equipment. But as we have seen people need to get an education about what they are buying. As I have gotten to know my 25 I have gotten better performance by experimenting safely and slowly to see what it can do safely. The only isue I have had is the first time ive used the cruise control something happened to cause it to creep foward all the time. The park brake wont stop it though if I push the brake with my foot it will. Glad to hear it was possibly an easy adjustment. I did have a couple lil things get loose. Im a master technician, now retired and I have ALOT of tools so no problem there. I am disabled so I love the HST. It was the idea of my sales rep. I had never thought of that. I love the 4 wheel drive. It saved me from getting stuck twice. It was user inexperience, not the tractor. Ive seen comparison videos and I must say they go both ways depending on whos making it. Apples to oranges in most of them but they paly on peoples laziness most of the time. I know how to work and Honestly the difference in price made me realize that I will get off and hook up that 3 point to save 10 grand on the price. I dont care about resale value,Im keeping it til I die. Im a hobbie farmer now and its just big enough to make things extremely easy for me. So there you have it.I learned ,I planned,I executed,Iam successful and happy. Thanks guys for your input . I learned alot reading this thread.

Thanks for the kind words, they are really appreciated. Years ago before I started our tractor business, I'd stop into tractor dealerships just because I was always looking for a new implement, or a bargain on a fixer upper tractor or what not. Generally, I was not treated well or was ignored. If you weren't a known local big farmer, they just didn't bother much helping the customer. I told my wife that if we start a tractor business and just treat people respectfully and answer our phones (and email, etc) then we could sell some tractors to people that value good service. And I was right on that, as we have retailed several thousand tractors in the last 15 years. We are grateful to our customers.

We deliver all over the west coast. But we do respect other Mahindra dealers and if a customer calls and we know he is within 50 miles of another dealer, we make sure to let them know about the other dealer and the advantages of buying local and the possible downsides of buying from a distant dealer. Palermo is relatively close to us, but it is not unusual to drop a tractor a few hundred miles away, so long as we aren't dropping a tractor in another dealer's back yard. We don't appreciate it when it is done to us, and we try not to do it to others. That being said, when you have a pocket full of cash and another dealer doesn't want to take it, that just baffles me. We are here to sell tractors, not hand our brochures.

I've been happy with my Emax22Gear. Inexpensive little tractor. Bought new in Feb 2016 for $11,600 with loader (last years model deal). Can't hardly buy a big 4 wheeler for that and you get a lot more utility for my small orchard (25 apple trees). 44 hours so far. Had one problem. The loader bucket has cracked around the center hydraulic pad. Awaiting a new bucket under warranty.

my bucket has a plate welded over the top lip giving it extra strength. I'm guessing they had a learning curve.

what didn't you like about it?

1.Cold starts ( 2015/16, mildest winter in at least 3 years.) I used a space heater under engine, plus magnetic heaters on oil pan, and transmission for 3-4 hours still coughed and belched grey smoke.
2 .Busted muffler. (Covered under warranty) I did the work, to save transport fee.
3 .Weak brakes.(would not hold on slight grade)
4 Engine assy.appears to have been dunked in a vat of paint (adds about 50 ft lbs of torque to remove oil drain plug.)
5 .High rpm needed to make any power (3000 for pto) 2000 just to move it's own weight.
6 . Air filter (ends are made out of soft foam rubber, started deteriorating @80 hrs.)
The tractor (TYM built 2014 emax22 hst fel/mmm.) did save me about 2.5 miles on the wheelbarrow, but it cost me $5500 to use it for one year/90hrs.
Now I see a thread about the fel bucket failures (TYM built) glad I avoided that one.

Mine was spray painted, alternator, fan belt wiring harness and all. It's a really stupid practice. I crushed my difficult to access oil filter trying to get it off. Don't think I've ever seen anyone spray paint a fan belt much less an alternator. I think Mahindra is doing it at their factory before the engines are shipped to who ever builds the tractor.

when looking for my tractor I stopped at the dealer in Washington, NJ and asked the guy to give me one reason why I should buy their emax over the deere 1025r......he couldn't come up with one single thing! I bought the JD 1025r

Odd first post, I don't know how a dealer could struggle with that question when the emax out specs the 1025r in almost every category and it's cheaper.
