Had a couple of big maple trees taken down last year.. Now they're this years firewood.. Unfortunately my 16 year old Husqvarna 365 Special gave up it's compression halfway through the pile

I'm going to, just waiting for a couple of parts..
I'm pretty sure you can put a 372 piston and cylinder on it. The cylinders are not too pricey at the dealer.

Have you had any problems with your Hydric hoses getting snagged on stuff ? The ones from the loader?

no but i did run over a sapling that then engaged the PTO

i was using the grapple to clear some small saplings and i managed to get one under the tractor and when i went to back up the sapling wedged itself against the cable that runs to the lever to engage the PTO and pull on it and the PTO started up it was a little disconcerting until i figured out what happened

I've been looking at a John Deere 5055e 2016. Do you recommend this tractor? what would you get different on it if you had to do it again?

Yesterday I started cutting some doomed white pine to salvage the logs out of them before they die. Like this one which has a big Blister Rust canker. It was right against the power line too.
EDIT: Still can't do vertical pics I guess. The bottom is to the right the top to the left.
And the stump had carpenter ants in it. There were two tunnels showing in the butt so I set it up on the stump so I could trim it off and keep the saw out of the dirt. I was lucky and only needed to trim 4".
Got 3 logs out of it.
