Paint for implements - Rustoleum, store brand equivalent, or what?

For years I used Rustoleum paint, spray can or brush, over Rustoleum primer. Spray can if I just wanted rust protection, spray gun if appearance was important. This summer I tried the Van Sickle brand spray can on a welded patch on an old Mott flail mower. I was impressed, covered nicely, looked great. I will be using that again for repair touch ups. I don't think much of the Ace brand spray cans compared to Rustoleum, too watery, didn't cover well.

That was my experience. While Ace's quarts might be Rustoleum relabelled (??) I thought Ace and Tractor Supply's Majic spraycans didn't cover as well.

Once had a Jeep wagon that was all over medium blue and oddly all the roof was light rusty and looked real bad.
Story was a chemical mist had caused it to rust.
Using a 4" brush, Tremclad blue that was a near perfect match I thinned a bit and carefully completely brushed a coat of paint on the roof.
Nobody ever knew it was a brush job!
I'll also add that that Tremclad never faded either, always kept a reasonable gloss that simply suggested a washing was all it needed.

I use it on my tractor as again the Medium Tremclad blue is perfect match to Mitsubishi blue.(MT180D)
