SKUNK STINK REMOVAL - Question???

Had a skunk in the barn. It was under an old drafting table. Dogs were hot after it. Now I have stinky mutts & can hardly stand going in barn.
One of the dogs I put some vinegar on & tomato juice, seemed to help a little. Other 2 have trouble doing that.

Now the barn. My thoughts are, spray with bleach and / or Lysol, will it work???

Appreciate any thoughts or ideas you may have.

Maybe a scented candle? Knock it over and you accomplish the burning thing. Sorry, no help but that must suck. It's enough to gag you.

• 1 quart 3 percent hydrogen peroxide
• 1/4 cup baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)

A popular method for people and critters uses a solution of baking soda, dishwashing detergent and hydrogen peroxide. I think the detergent cuts the oil and the other ingredients neutralize the scent. Don't see why it wouldn't work in a building.

Yup. X2. And time. I ran over a skunk going to an outdoor wedding dance. They made me park it a 1/4 mile down the road! A few days of driving it and it was gone. One of our dogs is thick-headed, this stuff works great.

Get one of them real good dust/particulate masks. Also open the door and place a fan to circulate.

Best thing I ever used was vanilla extract. My brother told me about it after some of my arrows got sprayed by the skunk they were passing through. They had been thoroughly saturated in skunk spray. Wiped them down with vanilla & the smell was about 98% gone.
