... and if you do seek medical attention, never sign over "medical records", but rather provide medical records related to accident. I was rear ended and the other party's insurance wanted all of my medical records. I told them that I would be happy to provide them copies of the medical records related to the accident. I requested copies of medical records at the chiropractor for the period following the accident. It was minor and all resolved in 6-8 weeks, but they wanted to assign fault to me (other party received ticket, I was cleared).
