Accident advice need

... and if you do seek medical attention, never sign over "medical records", but rather provide medical records related to accident. I was rear ended and the other party's insurance wanted all of my medical records. I told them that I would be happy to provide them copies of the medical records related to the accident. I requested copies of medical records at the chiropractor for the period following the accident. It was minor and all resolved in 6-8 weeks, but they wanted to assign fault to me (other party received ticket, I was cleared).

If you are not comfortable representing yourself, get a lawyer sooner than later.

If you ARE comfortable representing yourself, get a psychiatrist sooner than later.

The legal world does not operate on logic. It's byzantine rules have been carefully crafted over the years to make it the sole playground of lawyers, and they have succeeded in doing so.

Trying to play on their turf is foolish, at best.

I had an excellent vehicle rear ended and repaired. Should have sold it ASAP as it was nothing but trouble for the rest of it's existence .

I always wonder why we put lawyers in our legislative bodies. It's kinda like getting a fox to guard the chicken coop. Sure he probably knows a lot about chickens but that's not really the point.

Well, in the past, they used to be smarter than everyone else. Now, not so much. But they sure do know the meaning of all those 19th century Latin words none of us know...

He will be lucky if the lady's insurance coverage is enough to fully pay his claim if that $62k F150 is totaled. If it's not then he gets to find out what it's like to deal with his own carrier in an underinsured claim, presuming he has enough UM coverage himself. May have to just go under his own collision coverage. That, in most cases, doesn't cover diminished value.

Wrong. Dealer says $ 47 to 48k. Calling my lawyer / friend tomorrow . He is a very well known personal injury / insurance pit bull. I'll keep you informed.
