I did with the same exact results. Is there really an in/out on these?

I can't imagine there is. Reverse hoses and it goes backwards i.e. opens when you want to close.

To the cylinder it does not matter,,,
but, from the hydraulic supply (tractor system, or separate pump,,, etc,,,) to a valve, it absolutely matters.
Supply oil to a valve outlet,, the valve will feel like it is locking up.
If the system is open center, and the grapple valve is not power beyond equipped, there can be an issue with that,,, also.

I guess I forgot to ask if the remotes work with anything else?
My question about reversed hoses applies only to the hoses going to the valve that controls the grapple.
The remote valve may be connected to the tractor incorrectly.

It wouldn't work for 30min straight and then act up would it? It shouldn't work at all right? I don't have any other implement to try out on it. I got new couplers today and will swap them tomorrow.

Could it have trapped air? Or maybe even water or something that would act differently hot?
