Newly installed grapple freezes up

/ Newly installed grapple freezes up #21
It wouldn't work for 30min straight and then act up would it? It shouldn't work at all right? I don't have any other implement to try out on it. I got new couplers today and will swap them tomorrow.

Please re-read post #1,,, What you are saying now is totally different than
"Every now and then while using the grapple that is running off my L3350 factory remotes, the cylinder will lock up"

A valve that is connected incorrectly will do strange things, depending on the pressures at the time the lever is actuated.

AND, yes, an improperly plumbed valve can seem normal for an extended period, then, bam, the system seems to lock up.
You can not move the lever, the cylinder will "lock",,, etc,,,,

Not sure how that's drastically different? I can move the lever easily, the PB hose flexes, but nothing happens past the couplers and the cylinder will not move except for jerky spasms. The valve is a factory unit and I did not install it. Sometimes it will work for 30 minutes and sometimes it won't work at all. It's a different amount of time each time it happens, but it always happens. I'm going to swap couplers today and use it tomorrow. I'll check back in.

Is the grapple new or used? Do you have any experience with this grapple or this valve where there was no issue? Have you flushed the fluid from the grapple?

I'm probably the last person one would look to consult with on such matters, but...

Can you connect the two hoses together and identify whether the valve is working properly? (I'd suppose that you'd have to try operating at various points in time as your noted problem isn't continuous.)

Do you have any other hydraulic implement that you can attach to test?
